  • NYNY Help!

What are the pros and cons of NYNY? Obviously nightlife aside because we would not stay there for clubs. How is the casino? pool? rooms? We always stayed middle strip, but got a deal at NYNY that is hard to pass up. We are staying Thurs thru Tues in late April. If it helps we are going to Haze on Thurs and RPM on Sat.

    Thanks

casino is surprisingly fun.. good amount of tables and slots, and they had this bar area with chicks dancing around (kinda like pleasure pit at PH)

pool sucks.. id avoid that all together

i believe they recently remodeled some of their rooms and those are not bad. i dont remember what tower though.. good amount of restaurants inside as well. for a cheap place to crash, i wouldnt mind it. better than places like imperial palace or excalibur

if the deal is good then go for it. its a decent hotel. however, if it was may or later i'd go with something that has a better pool like Aria, MGM, Venetian, wynn, encore, etc.

if you have an mlife account, check your offers. nyny seems to be the one that constantly has offers (discounted or comp rooms depending on your gambling)

M life offer is 2 free nights and 55 a night Fri and sat. It's 150 more than mirage and I'm having trouble deciding if that difference is worth it. I'm leaning heavily towards no.

Staying at the NYNY myself in June. We're coming from the UK and have heard there's a $20 trick when checking in to getting a better room.

Has anyone ever tried this at NYNY and did it work?

I stayed at NYNY last April before we moved to the Monte Carlo (Got stuck in Vegas because of the Ash Cloud) I can honestly say i hated every second of it, waitresses were awful the pool is so tiny and hardly ever in the sun, the rooms are small but the beds are comfortable, baths and sinks dont drain properly not just our room but all 4 rooms our group had and room service take hours, but other than that its fine.

Thanks everyone. We are locking in at mirage. I figure when I'm at mirage I won't be wishing I was at nyny, but if I stayed at nyny I can't say that I wouldn't be wishing I was at mirage.

I actually like NYNY, although I'm usually on a mlife deal when there. It's a relatively small casino with decent table limits usually. None of the hotel rooms are that far from anything whether you want to hit the casino, taxi line, or the bridge over the Strip (biggest downside to the MGM). I'm not a big pool person so I can't speak to it and the nightlife in NYNY (Rox) isn't exactly top tier, but for a decent (not exceptional) room and convenience I like it.

If not on a relatively cheap deal I'd probably pick another hotel, but with cheap and/or comp'ed rooms, I like it.
