I was curious if anyone who has stayed there has been able to leave a cash deposit for incidentals vs. $150/night.

I know the $150/night isn't really a charge, but i don't want that money tied up while on vacation.

Yes they accept cash deposits for incidentals.

I would call them and ask how much cash they'd want for the number of nights you're staying. I know some places want double in cash of what they usually hold on a cc, so $300/night

I stayed there in June of last year. I didn't know about the deposit. I was there for 5 nights and they wanted a 750 dollar deposit. Now I am not a baller with hella open credit cards so I was like WTF? I spoke with the manager and told him that was my entire budget that he wanted to tie up. He put a 150 dollar hold for the entire stay. I suggest if you don't have big empty credit cards to speak with the manager and he can lower it for you. On a side note the hotel was absolutely beautiful. It is worth it for the free admission to the day club to stay there. The service impecable. Hell the housekeeper gave me 100 resort credit just cause I was getting married. Used a 50 sandwich to get upgraded from a terrace studio to a terrace one bedroom with a view of the fountains.

yea im going 4 nights and it will be $600, same as you freakzilla, i dont have a credit card with crazy limits.....anything specific you said that he was generous enough to make it only $150 for the stay? I dont want to come off like an asshole by asking to talk to a manager lol

I just told him that I couldn't afford to stay there then and to cancel me so I could book elsewhere. I also asked them if they wanted me to gamble and spend money in their casino cause if they took it all on deposits I wouldn't be spending anything. They understood.

Why would anyone want to leave a cash deposite? Good luck trying to dispute any claim againist you. At least with a CC someone is representing you.
