  • Riviera or Hooters?

Looking for the cheapest hotel near the Strip. Both Riviera and Hooters can be had for under $200 for a Thurs-Sun trip in March. Any opinions either way?

Wish I would've caught that Mirage deal!

Hooters is walking distance to the strip. It's not that bad. I like IP better if I'm going cheap.

IP was suprisingly not that cheap. Around $380. Rolled the dice on Hotwire and got a room at the Trop for $300. Not bad.

Is hooters really that bad? I know people on here clown it. If you are trying to do it cheap I don't see the issue. I am thinking about switching my room from excalibur to hooters cause it is half the cost. Opinions are appreciated

The only thing that I've heard about Hooters is that your clothes smell like chicken when you leave. I don't think it was a joke.

I was a click away from booking it until I saw the Hotwire deal. I say if you need a cheap room and it's not a special trip, go for it. The last time I was in an Excalibur room it was trash. Unless they have been renovated since then, for half the price I'd go with Hooters. It's walking distance from the monorail so it might not be mid-strip, but it's close enough for the price.

If you're just looking for a place to crash:

$39 for 3 nights at Stratosphere, IP or Riviera.

I'm so dumb...I looked at that yesterday and got to the part that says must book 60 days in advance then stopped reading. FAIL.

But it's only for 2 nights now.

I stayed at the Riv last year and sandwhiched to an upgraded room that had just been redone. Wasnt a bad deal in my opinion.

Strat is terrible. Stayed 1 night cause I flew in early, and Ill never go back. IP is decent. I really like gambling there.
