best sites to find deals?

hey all, just trying to get an idea of where to look for good hotel deals. any suggestions? i've signed up for some of the hotel mailing lists, but that's about it thus far.

I use kayak.com
If you invest some time and comb through the sites nix mentioned you can find crazy deals.

Also there a thread in the forums on how to score the Cosmo way cheap with great success

Search, research and search again....Use the above mentioned Kayak, always look on the hotel's website, call the hotel directly..Hotwire is always an avenue and you can almost pinpoint what hotel you will win by checking the location and amenities. Also use betterbidding.com for other hotwire wins...I use Expedia and Hotels.com as gauges only (IMO these websites give you a great feel for what prices will be hovering around), although you can find some great deals through them...

couldnt agree more-research, research and more...recently found my rooms cheaper at Ceasars, after continously watching their site, especially at "low times" on the internet-ie dont surf at lunch time or supper time and expect to find the cheapest prices.

anytime between 10 pm and 9 am is when ive booked my best trip deals.

thanks for all the tips, guys hopefully i can find something cheap. right now i'm looking at the weekend before 4th of july
