  • Too soon to plan?

After getting a new job and not getting vacation till the end of November, the we've decided to go back to Vegas for round 3 for
New Years 2013. The group (so far) is myself and my Two buddies. From what I've been researching we are wanting to stay at either Cosmo or the 2 br suite at PH. Also do bottle service at least once. Our main question is...How much more expensive is everything going to be because it's new years? Is it worth going? I mean we definitely want to go ASAP, but this is the soonest that's available. We're all in our 20's.

tl;dr- how much more expensive is shit gonna be for NYE 2013?

The table mins will be higher and bottle prices are higher too. Its probably the most expensive weekend there, or a close second to MDW.

I booked super early for our last trip, the same day I found out exact dates of CES and Miss America.... doing this I was able to get in before prices went up at the hotels.

I would guess with New Years though you cannot slip that past anyone.

Yeah that's our fear... I know the prices will be high, but how high? Like are $10 tables going to be $25 tables? And as for bottle
Service... We probably won't do it On dec 31 because that would be outrageous. We're thinking the weekend before or after.

NYE weekend is expensive no doubt. I just did a 4 night stay this past NYE and yeah it was a crazy good time. Hotel prices definitely get redunkulous if you dont book early. I managed to book a Luxury Suite at the Venetian 4 night stay for just over $1,000 in August. I would glance at prices monthly and they definitely went up tremendously. In regards to bottle service pricing, XS for instance had dance floor tables at 20k, 25k and 30k respectively. Inner rim prices were the same depending on view. The middle "concourse" area had tables at 10k and 15k and outter rim were the cheapest at 2.5k and 5k. Be prepared to spend a lot but also the time of your life!

In regards to gambling, we did a bit of gambling and walking through casinos and found plenty of $10 tables on all games in off peak hours. I think the only place I really didnt see anything less than 25 was at the Palazzo. Im sure other places had 25+ minimums.

That's not too bad I guess... I mean we aren't celebrities and don't have 10-25k to just blow... But 2.5k might be doable. Is that NYE? As far as the hotel.. That doesn't seem bad at all.

Which would you guys prefer, the PH Tower or the Cosmo 2br? I mean we're trying to get 3-4 beds, a sweet room but if it's too much we might go with the mirage. I've stayed there before and that's where I mostly gamble.

Is it really worth going to Vegas during New Years or is it just as good the weekend before or something? We are trying to figure out the best time but that is also affordable. We are taking 10k between us both and are planning to spend it. Go big or go home right?

Weekend before I would avoid... but 1/2 weeks after has always been great for us. Everywhere is still busy (just not stupid packed) and prices are certainly down from NYE

Sidekick just come with us we are always looking for a great time! How often have you been to Vegas? We went the first weekend of October this last year in 2011 and the weather was perfect wasn't horribly packed and was a GREAT time. We are looking to book VIP again in the club but just don't want to spend a stupid amount!
