Hi all, finally joined the site after stalking these discussion boards for weeks. All the advice I've read has been incredibly helpful, so I figured it couldn't hurt to post some questions.
I'll be going to Vegas Jan. 26-29 with 10 friends (some couples, some singles, about equal mix of guys and girls).
My boyfriend and I booked a room at the Hard Rock from Thurs - Sun after buying a Groupon for $300 for all three nights. I'm assuming this means we will get the lowest-quality room (in the Casino Tower, from what I gather on these boards).
1) Any possibility of success if we did a $50 sandwich and asked for a possible upgrade to the Towers?
2) Any ideas for a fun time on Thursday night not involving clubs? We will be there early, but everyone else will be getting into Vegas around 10 or 11 p.m.
3) Thinking about doing Marquee or XS on Friday night, but absolutely no plans have been made. Does it make sense to do bottle service for the 10 of us? I'm certainly not a "clubber" and feel as though the bottle service will make the experience a bit more bearable for me. In addition, I just think it makes the most economical sense in terms of avoiding extremely lengthy waits and high covers.
4) Other than clubs, any laid-back bars you guys would recommend that have more top 40 music than house, shorter lines, cheaper covers, etc.? We are all around 27/28 and from Boston and NY.
Sorry for the lengthy post! Thanks in advance for any and all advice!
