    hey guys!

planning on going to vegas with a friend of mine on memorial weekend

looking for a central spot on the strip and lots of party. read a lot about the cosmo, seems like a good place and they got a good offer running at the moment.
another friend of me has been to vegas in november and told me cosmo is overrated and the price is too high for what is offered. can anybody confirm that statement?

any other hotel recommendations for mdw?

    thanks in advance!
    greetings from austria

I generally like to stay at Bellagio because the service is simply the best of any hotel in Vegas and its overall the most upscale and resort-like. Cosmo's service is some of the worst. I understand that a lot of people, especially my age (24) don't really care much about this, but hey, when I'm spending good money, I want top service and a nice atmosphere too! I also don't like gambling in the Cosmo very much either. Dealers aren't as nice and the crowd isn't as good.

However, the cosmo does have a nice energetic vibe, with all the music from the bars and young people everywhere. However, I don't need to be surrounded by it 24/7. It's just as easy for me to walk the couple of minutes over to the Cosmo to get this. The Aria is also a good choice if you don't care to gamble very much (casino sucks) yet still want to be in a good location. Rooms are modern and sleek, service is good. The restaurants at all of these hotels are great.

      thx for the info

couple of minutes walk shouldnt be a problem, stayed at TheHotel last time in vegas and always had to take the long walk to the action

any other suggestions in the cosmo price range?

I went to Vdara last time I went. It was really nice and not to bad on the price. It's cheaper than Aria. The service was great, the maids even folded my clothes and put them an drawers which was awesome. It doesnt have a casino or club but is a short walk away from everything. It has a skyway that connects to the bellagio which is cool. I see lots of stuff for deals and upgrades floating around in my email.

Im going to check out ph westgate in march. It looked pretty decent and from what everyone is saying on here it's fairly easy to get an upgrade.

go to the website and sign up for their email/newsletter. I think lots of places tweet deals now too. Vdara one sucked but aria is 20% off jan-apr and select days you get 100 resort credit and a view upgrade. Here's the code ARES12GN3. You can also sign up for an account a mlife.com that is like the players rewards type thing for all the mgm hotels including vdara and aria. i didnt sign up for their emails but im sure they have some good stuff too. Also dont forget just the normal travel sites.
