Cosmopolitan Personal Hosts???

Hey Vegas Enthusiasts,

So I recently joined the JC board and have been getting a lot of great info, pointers and who to reach out to when visiting and was hoping you can continue by helping me out..

I have been staying at the Cosmopolitan since February 2011 and been going on average about 1-2 times a month. I had a friend which used to give me casino rates and upgrade my rooms all the time but he relocated. I now am a "Platinum" member of Cosmo from all the nights I have accumulated and now get a host, but I wanted to know if anybody here can post on here or PM me a host which can still provide the same hookup and will take compensation from me for providing the rooms/service.

If you know someone and give me their contact that's amazing, but if not what kind of host should I be looking for and what should I be saying to them so that they can always come through when I reach out to them?

Are you talking about an independent host?

One of the benefits of Platinum status in Identity is that you have access to a personal host already. You need to contact the Identity Desk and ask them who your host is, if you haven't already.

I understand that I have a personal host which will help me with booking my rooms and making my plans etc., but I know with my current casino play that there is no way which I can get a bungalow suite/penthouse suite at the Cosmo...do you know if casino hosts will take "thank you gifts" and put you in those types of rooms?

How did this go? Did you get a hold of someone? I am interested in how that works...

As of now still in the process. I did get a hold of a host, but was thinking if I should speak with them in person regarding room upgrades, etc. and at the same time give them their "thank you gift"

Since you already qualified for a personal host by spending a ton of money at the hotel, I don't believe it's customary to tip. Yet.

If they go over and above to take care of you, then yes, but I don't it's the custom to automatically tip casino hosts.

Additionally...I have heard that the standard at the Cosmo is to not "pair up" hosts with customers. You basically have to track them down every time you need something.

- as always please correct me if I'm wrong and very interested to hear about how this goes. Please let us know what the benefits are in reality!

I have had platinum status there since August.... im not overly impressed

They do pick me up and drop me off at the airport in a limo ... thats kinda nice...

Massages are upgraded to a Spa suite... I like that too...

What kind of benefits have you been getting ... they were kind of funny with the host thing with me ... kind of a pain in the ass...

I was told they changed it for 2012 that Platinum Identity members no longer are required to go through a host.

Hosts are only available for Platinum Clients only, but I will look into it for you...send me the info see what can be done for ya.
