While it is December, Spring not that far away. March is gonna be a must for me. I’ve been checking out Southwest airlines everyday. Any idea what airlines are the cheapest for direct flights to vegas? I need vegas to look forward to through this impending cold snowy winter or I will snap. It is now time to commence my Rocky IV training. Thank God for Vegas or I'd be morbidly obese.

Step one: go to www.southwest.com
Step two: click on the credit card offer, 2 free flights for signing up and making a single purchase (could be $1 for all they care)
Step three: recieve 50,000 southwest frequent flier miles about one month later
There is a annual fee for the credit card of $69, paid during the first month or so, but as a Southwest frequent flyer, 50,000 miles is enough to go to Vegas and back 2-3 times from Denver, and at $69 that's a steal considering I'm used to paying $150-$200.June 12-15 2014 Aria

August 10-12 2012 Palazzo

I just booked some from the midwest -
I got a Delta flight round trip out of a tiny tiny tiny airport (CWA - Wausau, WI) for $205 ... no free bags like Southwest though... same flight for my buddy out of Chicago was $280.
Try smaller airports, I've seen lower fares and all I can think is that the only way people will use the smaller airports is if the fares are cheap... bigger airports ORD are just so popular they can charge more.
Check out Alligiant air too... I think they go out of Rockford and offer some good deals now and then. I've had a round trip from Appleton, WI to Orlando for $110 before.

Southwest without a doubt. Booked both mAyOD trips through them, ton of flights out of Midway direct to Vegas.Schuyler AKA Skizzle AKA Scooby

www.allegiantair.com ... do it
Not as dirt cheap as they used to be (I would fly $58 round-trip a year ago, no joke) but still decent rates, especially if you go midweek instead of over a weekend.Nothing interesting to add here...

+1 for virgin. I just checked and their non-peak fares are 99/each way.. so i'll bet their sale prices are closer to 69.Originally posted by Graf von B View PostExcellent deals with JetBlue and Virgin too. These two, along with Southwest, always get me to Vegas for cheap.
IMO i'll pay $40 more per r/t to fly virgin over another airline

Guys,
Thanks for all of the advice and tips. I typically only fly SW from Midway. Plus I'm less than 5 miles from Midway so always convenient. I may not be able to do better than them price wise but will definitely check out these other airlines.
I have to have my mind with something to look forward to here. March will be here before we know it though. 14 weeks roughly it'll get here quick.Grizzled Vegas Vet:
