  • vdara or PH Towers

So right now i'm looking at a trip in early Jan, and am sort of stuck between vdara's panoramic suite and PH towers 1brm king.

vdara will cost an extra 100/night (roughly 30%) over PHT - anyone have opinions if it's worth it or not?

Personally, I think it all depends on where you plan to go outside the hotel. I'm dont dwell much on how fancy the room is as long as its clean and updated. MC, PH, Paris, Aria, PH Towers are all fine by me.
Vdara is newer so it looks cooler. Views are my last worries when I get a room. Its a bonus but I would never pay premium prices for it. I'm hardly in the room anyways.

I like being on the PH side since its an easier walk to Cosmo, PH and surrounding areas. PH Towers also is in the Miracle Mile shops so its walking distance to a bunch of food places and an ABC store for your basic needs like alcohol, soda, food, snacks, etc.

I agree with WT661. I really could care less about the room. As long as it's clean and has good mirrors and lighting (I'm a girl and I think about things like that), I'm good. It really depends on what you're gonna do outside of the room, where you want to go and what you want to do. Also, are you really going to be in your room long enough to enjoy the view and other things your room has to offer? This past weekend, we were in Vegas less than 24 hours and we were staying at the Trump and we didn't really get to enjoy the room and the amenities the place had to offer; it was kind of a waste. Those are just some things to consider. I know that for my possible January trip, I'm thinking about those kinds of things.

I personally like PH Towers. No resort fees, and Earls of Sandwich wins it for me. Plus I like the Jacuzzi in my room.

If you're gonna stay at Vdara for a higher price, you might as well stay at the Cosmo. Better rooms, better locations, no resort fees.

I don't spend much time in the room (at least time that i remember) but I love nice hotels in LV - the bigger the "wow" factor the better.

after doing some research I think the vdara is a little too far away from everything.. I don't like how it's smushed in the back. if it takes us 20 min to walk to our room, that might diminish the lustor a bit.. and I can use that $200 on something else.

i'll probably go for the 1br unless something else pops up

For $100 per night, skip the Vdara. It is usually one of the cheapest 5-star hotels in Vegas because of it's location and the fact that it has no casino. I think you could do better than the Vdara.
