  • Aria 2Br vs 2 hotel rooms

I have booked the 2br suite w/ city view at Aria for my trip march 8-11. A buddy of mine was going to split the room 30/60 (me paying 60) and i think it was going to come out to around 3300ish. It's going to be my birthday and homecoming from afganiland so I want to have as much fun as possible.

Now I have been reading over the posts on here and Im trying to decide if I'm better off if each of us getting a cheaper room somewhere else and trying the sandwich (more money for clubs and w/e). I don't really like asking people for stuff a mixture of pride and getting extremely embarrassed. I went to Vdara may of 2010 and really liked it. I was thinking of getting a fountain view terrace as Cosmo.

I really just want a nice room that has a bad ass view, and a huge shower with separate a huge tub, don't judge me. Any suggestions would be great.

***Also, since i have just realized i can save money and still get a wraparound suite at cosomo. does the balcony face the strip or vdara/the desert?

I know my dates are near spring break if not on spring break (someone who goes to college help me out on this). Does the city get more busy during spring break? Do the hotels fill up to the point that no comp rooms are available?

Soo many questions to be answered.

***Also again, If i do go with Cosmo and get the wrap around and my buddy just gets like a regular room at cosmo to crash in are the terraced rooms in a separate structure from the other rooms? The picture on expedia make it look like two completely different buildings.

My cousin had the semi-penthouse at Aria (I think that's the same thing you're talking about, I think it was a 2br) a few months ago and if you want to be able to throw raging parties and be able to invite 20 girls over its a wicked spot to have. Aria is also always sending him e-mails with comp rooms for when he wants to go back to Vegas.

Personally, I think its not worth it unless you're in the tax bracket where it doesn't eat into the rest of your budget. I would look at a suite at another hotel instead (Cosmo like you said, the Venetian/Palazzo are all suites, theHOTEL is out of the way but has some sweet suites too with separation doors for the bedroom). I'll be at the Cosmo on Wednesday so I can ask you whether the suite rooms are in the same area as regular rooms. I'll also let you know if the $20/$50 front desk tip works.
