  • Cheapest way to stay at Wynn or Encore?

Do people really pay $250+/night to stay here, or is there some secret to getting a better deal that I don't know about?

I'm already planning my next trip out to Vegas for June, and I'm set on staying somewhere on the higher tear. Thinking Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore, or Cosmopolitan.

It's going to be 12 people (3 rooms) staying for 5 nights, June 21st through 26th (Thursday thru Tuesday). The group budget is around $3,000 total after all taxes and fees.

    Thoughts?
    Vegas Trips to-date:

March 18-22, 2009 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
April 22-26, 2010 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
    June 2-6, 2011 - Venetian Bella Suite
June 21-26, 2012 - Cosmopolitan Wraparound Terrace Suite

$250 is avg. Those rooms can get into $3-400 on certain weekends.

V/P tend to have better deals on rooms than Wynn/Encore will.

      Try hotwire.com

You can do a little research on

      http://www.hoteldealsrevealed.com/ho...e/NV/Las-Vegas

to narrow it down to the WYNN or ENCORE based on the amenities/location/

      good luck!

Get a redcard from the Wynn and do a little gambling. I get offers all the time for $99 kings at Wynn. I'm sure they are probably bad view/low level rooms, but a $20 or $50 sandwich fixes that.

Costco online sells vegas.com $100 gift cards for $80.

Look up promo codes too, such as vegas20, which take off almost other 10%.

I've only done this for imperial palace and days inn. Not sure how much vegas.com lists wynn/encore for. I have a feeling they might sometimes upmark some hotels to compensate for these promos.

The only way I've gotten cheap deals at WynnCore is through a friend's player card or through priceline (name your own price 5 star north strip). Got Wynn once and Palazzo twice. Bids that worked ranged from 140-200

If you sign up for the Venetian/Palazzo email list you will get deals emailed to you. I've never paid more than 200 a night (excluding taxes and fees).

            2016 (upcoming) - June 10th - 13th. Venetian. Invasion schedule

              www.hotwire.com

www.betterbidding.com (use this is a resource for hotwire bids on mystery hotels)

Those 2 sites combined are winning combos. Or you can always hit up ***** (VegasLuxury on the forums) and hit him up for his rates. He's got some awesome deals.

gambling a little definitely helps. they usually send mailers out with discounted rates for the player and slightly more expensive but still discounted rate for friends. unfortunately its based on demand so certain weeks/days they will not offer these promos. ive found that venetain/palazzo is usually cheaper but then again my play at wynn/core is very limited.

However, the cheapest and best method I found is Priceline. You're not guaranteed the Wynn, but that area is either Wynn, Venetian, or Palazzo, can't go wrong with any of them.

Another thing I found with Wynn/Encore is that when you book flight + hotel packages, there seems to be a substantial discount with the hotel instead of booking separately.

Just on my accounts, I pricelined the Wynn at $93/night before, and also stayed there for about $70/night using the Expedia Save300 fiasco they had last year, so cheap nights are definitley doable.

If my math is right that is $50 per person per night. That's like $150 for the room per night because with resort fee, tax etc it will bring you to $200. I don't think you will be able to do this easily in June at these above mentioned resorts. JMHO.

You might want to check out MGM.

Just did a quick price compare and both Wynn Red card and Vegas.com were roughly the same number (~$2500 for Wed May 16th to Tue May 22nd, as a not so random example)

So looks like on the surface that Vegas.com/Costco gift card can book substantial savings.

Only restriction is that you can only use up to 20 Vegas.com gift cards in a single booking.

Each site on the web (Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) is in cahoots with certain chains from time to time. When it comes to Vegas, it's even more obvious.

Wondering why Palazzo / Venetian has a "special" through Expedia that you can't see through Orbitz? Blame the deal that Microsoft made with Sands Group. It's just the nature of the business.

That being said, if you want cheap rates on Wynn / Encore, get yourself an AmEx and use AmEx's Travel Site to book. It uses the same "engine" from Travelocity but incorporates AmEx's corporate deals with places, specifically deep discounts at WynnCore and Mandarin Oriental.

                        Edit: For Example...

So, standard pricing - yes, more expensive than both the Cosmo and Palazzo, but with AmEx's Deal, it's a good choice.

250 is normal for a fri/saturday. Gambeling helps, and even putting $20 bucks in a slot per trip can get you $150 deals via redcard promotions. My buddy is a big poker player, and he was told if he played 4 hrs a day (25/50 limit i think) he'd get $99 every day.

I actually think they're worth 250. If you figure 2 nights = ~500, and you get a 5 star, 5 diamond resort and 750sqft rooms. Or you can spend $300 for the weekend at the mgm and get a room half as large.

Last June I picked up an Encore Tower Suite for $211/ night through the Wynn itself. It was a 25% or 30% promo but it looked like the Tower Suites weren't included so I called and found out it was basically a call only for the Tower Suites. When I booked the rep mentioned that it was rare to see the Tower Suites going for so low.

Check and re-check, call and research is my advice..There are to many online resources out there not to get a good deal.
