        +1 for The Jockey Club

Our place 2bed/2bath, kitchen, living room, etc etc cost 6 of us (each with their own bed) $197 per person for 7 nights.
Works out to $28 a night (no resort fees and free wifi too)

              Fun City Motel

It's on the strip, a couple blocks South of the Strat. I think it's like $24.95 a Night.

              There is no Website - - it's got a TripAdvisor Page - -
              http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...as_Nevada.html

And here's a Google Street View pic:

I personally have not stayed there, but whenever I drive by it with folks, I always point out how we should get a room there - - just for $hits and Giggles.

The cheaper strip hotels include: Luxor, Excalibur, MGM, and TI. All decent hotels, but still on the less expensive side. You can also check out Bally's.

First, no one likes a great room deal better than I do! We don't spend much time in our room anyway so all we want is clean and safe.

                  Downtown!!!

Fremont, Fitzgerald's, often very, very cheap. Nothing special, but clean rooms and decent. We get deals from Fitz for like $27 a night and they always give us one free night for each one we pay. 4 nights= $60! Fremont is a little more, but the rooms are newer. Also, I've seen some great deals on the Golden Nugget, last year we saw it for $35 a night! Another option is (don't laugh), El Cortez. It's one of the last true old-time Vegas hotels, but the tower rooms are pretty nice. Also, the Gold Strike downtown has cleaned up a lot, but it's not in a good place so be cautious.

we've found the best site for bookings is I4Vegas.com with tripres.com a close second

On the strip, Imperial Palace is always the cheapest, but not great. After that, the other Caesar's properties usually have specials going on.

Imperial Palace is cheap, but nasty. Harrah's ususally has good specials.. join a casino rewards club and you will get all kinds of offers or at least cheaper rates.
