I'm going to try to do 4 days/3 nights on $1000 (not including hotel and airfare, of course) but I don't know if I'll do it. I'm planning to pregame pretty well and only spend about $40 per pool party and $40 per club on drinks. We're doing bottle service at XS on Saturday, so that will be our big spend night.
What is YOUR Vegas budget?

I think its doable, depending on how many in your party for the BS, maybe go a little bit over. I say $1200.. thats my predictionOriginally posted by chrisbru View PostI'm going to try to do 4 days/3 nights on $1000 (not including hotel and airfare, of course) but I don't know if I'll do it. I've had my card blocked several times not only in Las Vegas, but in other cities as well. That's primarily because I didn't inform the CC company that I'm going to be out of town. I try to keep low limits on my CC as well for that reason (and also because I care more about not spending wildly and going into debt rather than building credit).Originally posted by redbullvodka View Postbtw, separate subject, has anyone had ID theft from using a credit card in vegas? happened to me 2 times already. last time my cc company called me about charges in georgia and chicago at the same time i was in vegas.
Regarding a budget, I try to keep it as low as possible, but ultimately it depends on the people I'm going with.
Most of my friends are outrageously cheap-ass, while I'd like to consider myself as a selective spender. I don't gamble AT ALL on almost all of the times I've been there, preferring to spend it on liquor, food and shopping.
If I'm with cheap-ass friends, I end up spending from 150.00-300.00 / day. If I'm with this one friend who likes to spend and stay in suites and such, I end up spending up to 500.00 / day. I've stayed as short as under 24 hours to 9 nights, so I've ended up spending from 500.00 to 9000.00 on one trip.
For mAyOD 2011, I'm not sure. I've never been with a group that has an intimate knowledge of the Las Vegas club scene. Plus, I don't usually go to pool parties with my local friends. I hope to be on the lower end and try to learn some tips & tricks about pre-game and anything short of resorting to ass-vodka.

I'll let you know how it ends up! We have 6 girls and 5 guys, but I think just the guys might do bottle service. We'll see!Originally posted by BigDex14 View PostI think its doable, depending on how many in your party for the BS, maybe go a little bit over. Of course, if I win at the casinos, then the budget will be uppedNext Trip: October 28-31, 2016

My hubby had charges from L.A. during our last stay in Vegas, very weird and the purchases had nothing to do with Nightlife. Thankfully our cc company was quick in catching it and resolving it. I've always been weary of using my card in clubs/bars so I always settle up in cash even if that means I have to pay up front.Originally posted by redbullvodka View Postbtw, separate subject, has anyone had ID theft from using a credit card in vegas? happened to me 2 times already. last time my cc company called me about charges in georgia and chicago at the same time i was in vegas.

For example my mAyOD budget will be around 2500k after hotel, airfare and food. This budget goes to club/booze expenses, cab fares and little gambling. I am usually really good at saving money from my budget, i usually pre-party really hard at the room or spots with cheaper booze prices comparing to clubs and unless if I really feel like it I dont spend money on fancy dinners, shows an etc. I am ok with simple and delicious food like In and Out burger.
Also, keep that in mind your budget plans will change significantly if you include drunk strip club adventures. Lol
P.S: I have Wells Fargo, so instead of using ATM's in hotels and pay 5 to 7 bucks service fee's each times, I usually go to Wells Fargo ATM by the Carnival Court to withdrawl enough amount of money for that day or night. Saves you good amount of money. So depending on which bank you work with go online and search for their ATM's on the strip.Last edited by YellowandNavy; 05-04-2011, 02:08 PM.''In 1969 I gave up women and alcohol - it was the worst 20 minutes of my life.'' - George Best
