  • What is YOUR Vegas budget?

We've been discussing this on the chat today.

So here it is. What is YOUR typical Vegas budget?

I'm especially interested in foreigners because I know some of them save for like a whole year and then go buck wild!

My usual budget from Cali is around $1500-$2k after Hotel/Airfare/Gas.

About 1000$ (after hotel, airfare, taxi/Deuce and food).

But while most of you spend their money on booze only, I also spend it on other things. So I don't have a big budget but then again, it's ok. I'm a girl

Drinking in my room will be a big saver. Oh, and drinking those $1 margaritas (they're my tradition ).

My budget is usually about $2k after Hotel and gas for a 2 or 3 day trip. From Phoenix so I usually just make the quick 4 hour drive instead of flying. It would be cool to just save about $10k for a year and go crazy for a week but I just can't bring myself to save up and only going once a year so I ball on a budget 3 or 4 times a year.

Where is this and why aren't we there now?

$1500-2k or more depending on table winnings or losses.

I budget $500 a night for drinking. $200 per day for gambling. And another $200 per day for food and drinking during the day.

I always bring $2,000 cash for a 4-night trip. Bottle service usually 1 or two times (either at dayclub/nightclub). Lots of greasing on the other nights.

Some of that also goes towards fancy dinners and gambling.

My trips are usually three nights in length, and I usually spend 5-6k for flights, hotel, party pool each day, two clubs, great dinner each night, one show, limos, shopping, tips, etc...

I'm a low budgeter but I've never NOT had a fantastic time. BF and I are going in July and we're bringing about $1,500 between the both of us for four days and three nights. But we're only doing one pool party and sticking to the ultra lounges (doing open bar wrist bands at Palms, etc.) If we win we spend the money adding to the trip. We find deals during the day like the text deals they have for Mon Ami Gabi and Stripburger.

To me, it's about perspective. We're heading to Napa for a week this summer and will bring between $2,500 and $3k. For that for a week we'll be eating at some great restaurants and hitting wineries most days and will come home with 3 or 4 cases of wine. I look at what I'd rather do. theknife's $900 a day budget is going to get me tastings at 4 or 5 top notch wineries, dinner at French Laundry (one of the best restaurants in the country, if not world) and I'll have a case of really good wine to show for it. I'd rather do that with my $900.
Am I the only one that walks into a Subway and says, "It smells like O'Shea's in here."

                  Upcoming trips!

I bring about 3k for 3days; hope to spend only 2k, but end up spending 4k.

$1.5k-$2.0k After Flight/Hotel That is usually for 3-4 Nights

Now that I'm going for 6 Nights I'm shooting for $3k, but I could still make the $1.5k-$2.0k work I'm sure

It's my first time there and I've allocated $1000 for a 3 night weekend. Does this sound satisfactory for a first-time trip?

Even though I plan to sample a little bit of everything Vegas has to offer (Casino, buffets, strip clubs, night clubs, etc), I don't plan to indulge into any one particular thing, and plan to pre-game a lot to max out the effectiveness of my budget.

The reason for this is that it would be my first trip. I suspect on any subsequent trip I'll bring at least $1500-$2000 for more partying/casino/etc... but for now it's all new to me so I'm more interested in just seeing what it's all about, enjoying the strip, catching some shows.

So does $1000 for a first-timer on a 3 night weekend sound sufficient? I mean I could do more but I thought I'd be realistic with my expenditures.

I have done 10K on each of my last two trips after airfare and hotel which were 3 and 4 days. I usually get a little carried away!
