Will make life easier, especially for experienced drivers.
Difference in Anaheim between Uber and Taxis is $8.50 (uber) and $24.50 (taxi)
Big game changer for money/convenience."The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"

Comparing Uber's estimates and taxi estimates from TaxiFareFinder and it's looking like it's going to be moderately to significantly cheaper, at least if they don't have surge pricing running. I'm just excited that finally you can have reliable taxi service from under-served hotels like Palms Place or Tuscany Suites.
Here's some examples of estimates of rides I'll be taking on my next trip.
Hotels Uber Taxi Encore to Mandalay Bay $12-16 $22.76 Mandalay Bay to Aria $9-11 $11.88 Aria to Caesars $6-8 $12.03 SLS to Encore $7-10 $10.59 SLS to Gold Spike $9-12 $16.53 Gold Spike to Cosmopolitan $13-18 $20.34 Last edited by maxutilsperusd; 09-17-2015, 08:50 AM.

Where do they pick you up from? The hotel valet as if they were any other town car ?EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

That was what I was thinking. More cars on the road, no matter how you slice it, equals more traffic and congestion. I was also wondering about pickup points. Will they be allowed to pickup from hotels, stop on the street or what? Even with all of that, I am thrilled that Uber is now an option.

Realistically in the long run it will be fewer cars on the road. Las Vegas is the perfect city for Uber's uberPOOL and Lyft's Line services. Most cab lines are filled with people who are going to the same hotels or the airport. Many people would share taxis to save time and money but there is no way to know who is going where beforehand, but these apps do all that hard work of that matching and should drastically reduce the number of cars needed to move people at peak times.Originally posted by Jbrav007 View PostThat was what I was thinking.
