  • Pimp my agenda - Thursday Sep 17 to Monday Sep 21

3 mid 30's guys visiting Vegas to celebrate a successful business deal! We'll be coming straight from the LA Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo.

Here's the current plan, would love any suggestions on upgrades. We're staying at the Cosmo. We're looking for fun / laid back party crowds more than night clubs. And of course pool parties

Thursday night: Encore night swim - planning GA with a handshake to skip the line as it sounds like a table doesn't matter much at night swim. Any ideas on pre-gaming restaurant + bar? Obviously tons of choices at Cosmo, but curious if there are any good party vibe dining options around Wynncore.

Friday: Marquee day with a table. Bar crawl around Cosmo at night

Saturday: renting a boat for the day on Lake Mead. Nighttime bar crawl, we're thinking maybe Palms / Hard Rock to try something different. Any fun to be had there or would you recommend staying on strip?

Sunday: sports books during the day, XS nightswim. Grime is playing, we're thinking GA + handshake but do you think a table is needed? And any good party brunch options on Sundays? We loved GBDC last winter. Anything similar going on this time of year?

Thanks! And always open to anyone who wants to pre-game, table-split, or generally do Vegas to the fullest.

Why GA plus shake for those events? Just buy presale tickets online.

Also, don't waste your Saturday doing a bar crawl. You should be in a club checking it out.

Omnia is new and amazing; but tables certainly aren't cheap

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Agree with Ocam on why GA + shake instead of pre-sale tickets? Unless you have a pre-existing relationship with a host that you are maintaining, pre-sale tickets are usually cheaper than GA+shake and they get you in pretty quickly.

EBC at Night and XS Nightswim are both great choices. Plenty of people on here actually prefer them without a table since they have the dayclub pool party vibe to them. I like tables and if you do decide to go that route, Bobby Yeadon is your man at XS. 708-714-0280. XS does have bottle deals on Sunday nights - 1 vodka/1 Moet for $395/$495/$595 (depending on DJ) or 2 Vodka for $595/695/795 (depending on DJ).

For Marquee Dayclub I recommend if you are getting a table to work with Cliff Orr. 586-489-4531.

Personally I would skip Palms/Hard Rock bar crawl and stay on the strip. Palms and Hard Rock don't really have the nightlife scene like they used to and I'd rather be on the strip, but that's a personal preference. Also it's a Saturday night and I'd prefer to make the most of that night.

As far as daytime - GBDC and Lavo Brunch don't get started up until pool season is over. So if you are looking for daytime party activities your best bets are the pool parties. You will have already been to Marquee Day Club, so Encore Beach Club, Wet, Drai's would be some of your best bets left. Liquid/Tao Beach/Daylight if you are looking for something smaller and more wallet friendly

Overall I think your plan is on the right track and whatever you end up doing have a great time!

I stayed at HRH in May and was on the strip the whole time. HRH just redid their center bar and reopened it Labor Day.

HRH had its day and has been passed on by the strip hotels. I get my room comped there which is the only reason why I stay there.

Not worth wasting a Saturday evening there and the Palms. Better off on the strip. Cosmo itself has great lounges which you may want to do since you are staying there to mix it up.

As others have said, stay on the strip. The cab rides back and forth from Hard Rock and the Palms add up quickly, and there really isn't much going on at either spot to make a special trip over. Save your time and money and stick with the strip.

Agree with all of the above. I stay at Palms Place cause my job decided i needed a permanent place in Vegas, it's fine living there, but other than Ghost Bar the nightlife is non-existent (GBDC doesn't get going until pool season is officially done but IS actually fun), to the point if i'm in town for a longer trip i'll get a a room on the strip for a few days just to be in the center of things without having to worry about driving drunk etc. HRH is similar in that regard, you'll spend a few minutes there and crave more options etc. Both i have discovered after multiple trips this year are considered local friendly and attract regulars who live in Vegas full time.

Thanks all for the advice! We'll keep it on strip and will probably squeeze in a club Saturday night and another pool party (Wet Republic) on Sunday afternoon. Four days, four pool parties, ain't nothing wrong with that!

If you are doing tables I have 3 boys flying in from Aus today who might be keen to split
