Who's going to EDC??

I know EDC isn't until June, but tickets go on sale in a couple of weeks. I'm on the fence, but I am thinking of making the trip solo because EDC just looks like one of those things you need to experience.

Any forum members planning on going? Any advice or tips from previous EDC goers?

get there earlier, edc flies by so fast because your having so much fun. I went last year and didnt get to do half of what i wanted to do. Next to the mad decent boat party, it is one of the most amazing things i have ever expierenced. I am undecided as to whether i want to go again next year. I just hate that its an hour away from the strip.

EDC is a blast and everyone should definitely go at least once. I filmed this year and will probably be filming at it next year as well.

Buy whatever you can to make the line go by faster. You don't want to sit in line, in the heat, forever.
Get there early, figure out a ride, find a friend with artist pass, anything to not have to wait in traffic too.
Get a dope ass camelbak with lots of space/pockets etc to hold your stuff
Make sure you're in it for the long run. 3 days of that is intense and it goes from 7pm to 7am. Eat well/Hydrate.

Ultra Miami, EDC vegas, Global Dance, tommorrowland, tomorrow world, decadence

EDC- NYC, London, Orlando, Brasil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Nocturnal wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, Escape

Ultra- Thailand, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan, Phillippines, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, South Africa, Buenos Aires, Korea,Europe, Japan, Bali, Chilie Brasil

coachella, rock in rio, lollapalooza, iheartradio, Austin City Limits, electric zoo, Governors Ball, veld, hard summer, Bonnaroo

That said EDC Vegas is 133,000 and goes dusk till dawn
Most important for edc vegas is
1. hotel room- rates skyrocket
2. transportation plan- either drive to speedway or shuttle pass

Yep! Dancing around the idea of going next year myself. Will probably book a room soon before prices sky rocket, and cancel it in the event that I can't make it.

Haven't been to EDC Vegas personally, but from what other attendees have said..

1) Take a JusCollege Shuttle to and from the event, as they're much more reliable and quicker than Insomniac's Shuttles. Even better if you can take one from Downtown/Fremont, as traffic is not so bad and it's alot quicker to get to the Speedway as opposed to taking one from the Strip.

2) Leave about an hour or 2 before the event ends, as traffic's a nightmare after the event's over.

3) Stay hydrated, it gets awfully hot out there.

4) Get there when the gates open, there are some AMAZING acts that play early.

5) Bring Visine & chapstick. The dry air out there is brutal.

Great advice so far. If I go, I am opting for the VIP ticket over GA. I'm looking at rooms now and want to lock in one before tickets go on sale.

The thing I'm most concerned about is getting to and from the speedway.

Are shuttles the best option? How do the shuttles work exactly, because I'm just picturing a mob scene of people waiting for a shuttle.

I went this year, it was awesome. Absolutely something you need to experience at least once.

2016 I'm going down Wednesday-Tuesday for EDC week and just doing clubs... taking a friend for his 21st birthday so that should be good. Can't beat the DJs they book during EDC week.

I'm stretched a little thin thanks to NYE in Vegas, superbowl in sf, and coachella in the upcoming months so I'm gonna do the payment plan for VIP. Hope there's no issues. Will probably be there solo like last year.

Yeah I'm going to do the payment plan for The VIP ticket. Mentally I can't drop that much cash in one fell swoop on a festival ticket. Lol. Scooter, I know I'll be solo too, so I'll be keeping up with the forum to see what other JC members are heading out to EDC.
