Hakkasan Calvin Harris 9th October - Will it be too busy ?

Hey guys , so back in Vegas Oct 6th for 1 week woop woop !

Already got lots planned , debating at the mo whether to get pre sales for Calvin Harris @ Hakkasan

I know other peoples reviews are subjective but my question is this -

For general admission without bottle service how bad actually is it getting some space to have a dance ? , if we just want to chill is there anywhere we can go to stand and have some drinks without getting constantly moved on ?

I really don't mind it busy , but when clubs get to the stage where you just cant move then its just no fun

Last time we were in Haze 2 years back it was the same deal getting moved on everywhere even when it was quiet , we managed to find some salvation behind the DJ booth to have a dance and some beers without getting hassled

At the moment touch and go whether we will book tickets , would be interested to hear your experiences from similar big nights

door price will probably be $150 for guys that night

hakkasan is huge- main room, pavilion, ling ling, lounge
Calvin will start around 1am

Omnia is newer, xs has big outside area but if you want calvin go

I'm planning a bachelor party for the same weekend and we're buying GA tickets for Calvin on Oct 9th...saving bottle service for Saturday night. Like artedm mentioned, Hakkasan will probably be a can of sardines that night. I saw Martin Garrix at Hakk awhile back and there was not a lot of space on the main dance floor specifically, but thankfully there are other areas to chill (ling ling, etc) so it won't be all that bad. GA tickets right now are a steal at $50, get them soon before they raise the price as the date gets closer. Cheers!

the whole hakkasan is 80,000-square-foot
main room kind of like xs indoor

Yeah, it's definitely going to be packed, so you need to be mentally prepared for that. If you don't mind going with the flow, and finding space where you can, then you should be fine. I wouldn't spend too much time debating on getting GA tickets though. I think artedm is absolutely right. Once the GA tickets sell out, you are probably looking at $150 or more at the door.

Hak is ALWAYS packed, as long as your cool with that and go into it expecting nothing less, then you can have a good time. But the few times that i have been to Hakkasan GA it's been a shoulder to shoulder situation when there is a "good" DJ, but still a good time nonetheless.

still trying to decide between Hakkasan and Omnia , which is the bigger club out of the two ?

Is it really that bad at Hakkasan for GA people with no tables for places to stand ?

Does Omnia have more places to stand / dance ?

Calvin was $70/person at Omnia in July.

And honestly, his set was weak. Despite his production skills, not a great live DJ.

Omnia is the biggest club. The main room is likely going to be impossible to dance in - it is like sitting in rush hour traffic.

However, there is a hip-hop room, which has room to dance, and the best place I'd say is the Terrace/Roof, - plenty of room, great house DJs.

Both Hak & Omnia will be extremely packed. I'll be at Hak for CH (9th) on Friday and Omnia on Sat (10th). Already secured 2 tables for each night - otherwise I'd never go. If you want GA/space to dance and mingle, I'd suggest XS maybe

I would agree with the posts above, HOWEVER there are a couple things I actually really enjoyed about Hak. First, the maze of walkways near the dance floor is horrendous, however towards the back mezzanine area, there seems to be quite a bit more room to walk around, it's mostly tables but people still seemed to be receptive to talk if you aren't a dolt.

Two, I'm someone who likes to hang back and chat and mix it up with people so I dont usually hit the dance floor much. In that sense, I've had a great time at Hak because they have that standing area with tables you can chill at and it seems to be a great place to talk to people while still having the energy of the club.

Just a couple of my thoughts. I'd say it's probably not the best for big groups GA but if you're someone that doesn't mind cruising around solo or in pairs and doesn't need to be on the dance floor, I think it's a pretty cool spot.

I am also considering this night.. Ryan can I ask if you had to pay for those tables? I don't need bottle service as there is only the two of us, but I hate not having somewhere to just perch and rest my drink!!

Out of interest - does anyone know the starting prices for a table!?
