For Halloween, at the various nightclubs, are costumes permitted attire? Are traditional requirements overlooked on this night and/or weekend?

No one knows how this works?

there are usually costume competitions and a lots of other people in costumes
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Halloween weekend is the only weekend where you can dress how you want, where you want. You will look weird if you don't have a costume on October 31st. Great energy everywhere in town. Last year was my first Halloween in Vegas and I'm going back again next October.

It's kind of anything goes except no masks. It is a casino, after all.

My group had a table at Hak and had our faces painted. When we arrived at the venue (having been escorted through the casino by security) we were told that if security were unable to identify us from our IDs (because of the paint) then we would be refused entry.

Cue lots of concern for 10 mins as we had spent hundreds of dollars and hours getting painted by a professional makeup artist.

Was all fine in the end though. Just a cautionary tale to be careful if you get your faces painted.

A few years ago, at the Artisan, I fist-bumped Maverick, bought Gumbi a drink, seen Angels with Nipple pasties (damn near Victoria secret models), and danced with the hottest Naughty-Sailor I've ever seen! I felt out of place with no costume

And one other question - is Halloween considered "all weekend" in Vegas? E.g. Saturday is the 31st...but will clubs be doing costumes, etc. on Friday the 30th too? And even Thurs the 29th?

What if a costume also had a cane as a prop. Would the cane be allowed in the club?
