Fight weekend Gridlock?

We will be in town for the Mayweather fight weekend(not by choice). We are doing EBC saturday afternoon and I was planning on getting back to the venetian after to get some sleep and regroup. I heard about gridlock issues on the strip for big events and wonder if that will be the case Saturday for the fight. I was planning on bouncing around to palomino's to pregame and still deciding on what club after that. But my question is....Will bouncing around in a cab Saturday night be an issue?

There does not seem to be 1/10th of the hype for this fight as there was for May-Pac. Given I'm also there that weekend I'm kind of hoping it's not a complete shit show!

I would expect normal weekend crowds. I will be watching it at the theater for $25. Fight isnt worth the trip to vegas or the $60/$70 ppv for me anyway.

in terms of cab lines, cost, traffic

An independent host told one of the guys in my group that most venues avoid booking guests until just before the fight in fear of the even being moved. Is that true? I have not seen many special guest hosted parties for that weekend, so was expecting a normal weekend crowd for the most part.
