  • Looking for a fun night away from major clubs

    Hey guys,

Any help you could give would be great. I haven't been to Vegas in a few years so I'm out of the loop on the non-club scene.

Myself and a couple buddies are looking to do some casino/lounge/bar hoping around the strip. I know the strip isn't really conducive to hopping around as everything is much further than it seems. That being said, what are the best lounges/bars currently? Looking for a good crowd and atmosphere.

To give you an idea of our plan, we are staying at Monte Carlo and I wanted to start this night down at Carnival court and then work our way back. So what do you think is best between Harrahs and MC?

Lastly - what time of night is Carnival Court most fun?

Carnival Court starts picking up anytime after 9 PM. Pretty much you can get away with wearing anything there.

Chandelier Bar is a must at Cosmo at night. More upscale.

Stayed at MC and had a blast one night at the Ignite Lounge late in the evening. The Pub is a solid starting point in MC for a beer or few before rolling out and also Nine Fine Irishmen over in NYNY for a pint or few.

Personally we've had fun bar hopping down on Fremont Street for a night to mix it up.
Happily sponsoring the Las Vegas economy since July 1996

Centrifuge is pretty lame IMO. I'd skip it

Hands down Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan and the little informal lounge area in front of Secret Pizza for best in town.

Lets look at where you could go:

            Carnival Court

Head south to Linq - Tag Bar (large beer selection, automated server options)

Cross the street to Caesar's - Vista, Fizz, and Numb as options (artificial views, champagne, or frozen drinks)

Head south to Bellagio - Hyde (view of the fountains, but you have to arrive before it turns into more of a club)

Head south to Cosmopolitan - Secret Pizza and Chandelier (best pizza in town with a free to use pool table, best bar in town)

Then south to Monte Carlo since I don't think it's worth going through CityCenter after all those.

^^^ nailed it! I've only briefly passed through, on a weekday. But Tag Bar is on the top of my list next visit!
