Newbies in Vegas... Help!

I am traveling with 3 guys and this is our first trip to Vegas. After researching this site, I am frankly intimidated and freaking out on the planning required...

Any recommendations for the following dates below? We would like to do bottle service each night if possible and we prefer hip-hop/top 40 and a large crowd. Thanks!


Thurs. Aug. 20th - Night (EBC, Drais, Hakkasan, TAO, and Tryst)
Fri. Aug. 21st - Day (EBC, Wet, or Marquee)
Fri. Aug. 21st - Night (1 Oak, Drais, Hakkasan, Life, Light, Marquee, Omnia, Surrender, TAO, Tryst, or XS)
Sat. Aug. 22nd - Day (EBC, Wet, or Marquee)
Sat. Aug. 22nd - Night (1 Oak, Drais, Hakkasan, Life, Light, Marquee, Omnia, Surrender, TAO, Tryst, or XS)

Don't feel intimidated. You found this place before you went so you won't end up at Koi Ultra Lounge or LAX, so right there you are immediately going to have a better nights than a a few thousand misguided souls.

I'd do EBC at Night on the 20th for sure.

Then I'd do one day at EBC and one at Wet Republic.

Then I'd do one night at XS and one at Omnia if you can make the financials work.

So:
Thursday Night: EBC at Night (Jermaine Dupri) - Hip Hop, nighttime pool party
Friday Day: EBC (TJR) - Best dayclub venue
Friday Night: XS (Kaskade) - One of the best clubs, with their most popular DJ
Saturday Day: Wet Republic (Tiesto) - Second best dayclub venue with one of their most popular DJs
Saturday Night: Omnia (Afrojack w/ Dwayne & Jazzy Jeff in Heart of Omnia) - Newest, hottest club

That's quite expensive though, so if you guys are looking to save some money consider presale tickets for Friday and/or Saturday Nights and possibly Saturday Day. EBC at Night is usually very reasonable for tables, and Jermaine Dupri is one of your best options for hip hop, so I'd think that would be one of your most for sure plans. Everyone else is pretty much going to be EDM with some top 40 mixed in, it's the popular music for clubs in Vegas, but the schedule I listed has the popular venues so you'll have a hard time finding as large of crowds anywhere else, and definitely not where they are playing hip hop.

Koi Lounge was amazing when I went on a Friday night. Ladies night, girls didn't pay for drinks all night and the place was packed. Just saying.

Always consider pre sales before tables IMO when going to a club. Tables = bottle rats. The more genuine girls are in the crowd with their friends anyway. Pool parties...Real estate is essential.

I assume not everyone has a terrible time at Koi every night or it wouldn't still be open at this point, but Koi has a bad reputation for promoters changing pricing and terms at the last minute and being absolutely empty at least some of the time. I've had good times at LAX, but I'd never call it a good club, and the best night at either isn't comparable to a mediocre night at the listed clubs. Consistency matters.

The absolute opposite to this is true.

You do get bottle rats of course, but its fairly obvious fairly quickly what girls intentions are if you know what you're doing.

In clubs you need real estate. Particularly at the popular ones. That is unless you want to be herded around the place by security to the GA places and want to stand the whole night.

You do get herded around at some clubs *cough, Tao, cough* when you aren't on the dance floor, but most other venues are more GA friendly and overall as long as you are actually on the dance floor that is never a problem.

In clubs you need real estate.

That just isn't true. It's nice, it's easier, but it isn't necessary. If you have dancing skills the dance floor is actually probably a better bet for finding a real connection. I don't have dance moves, luckily I can fake dancing with my girlfriend on a dance floor, but if I was single I'd say I'd prefer a table, but it isn't necessary, just preferable.

XS and Omnia are both considered to be extremely GA friendly so that is why most people are recommending potentially looking at presale tickets before committing to bottle service. If it was Hakkasan or Tao I doubt opinions would be the same.

As a single guy i'd say you need a table 8 times out of 10. Just to get chatting to girls aswell its just a bigger help. There's no bigger turn off than if you were chatting to some bird and security come and move you along, then you're talking again and you're moved on again.

In pools its the opposite cos you have the pool and can mingle. If you're in a big group the cabana makes sense, but if you're in a two, which I usually am in Vegas, then its total sense to mingle in the day, and table it at night
