  • XS exit strategy

So the last two times I have been to XS, leaving around 3:15am has been a circus. Once we waited outside Encore for over an hour in the cab line, next time we walked through to the Wynn and still waited nearly 45 minutes. Anyone got a good exit strategy? We have plans to get to after hours following our night at XS and a hour wait sometimes kills the mood. Im actually kicking around the thought of trying to make my way over to TI, there lack of nightlife options makes me think we could walk the 20 minutes it takes to get there and almost walk right into a cab. Thoughts?

This. If I'm in a hurry or too tired/trashed I'll get the escalade for $50.

Thanks. Ya, $50 definitely seems worth it, for some reason I don't remember seeing limos out front, but there could have been other factors contributing to me not seeing straight. When you say tip the bellman, you talking about the guy hailing the cabs? I definitely know I saw people try that last time and he was turning them down, line was so crazy long anyone skipping it likely would have been attacked by an angry mob!

Yep, the SUVs are probably one of the most cost effective and convenient solutions to that problem.

The other option is contacting a strip club for pickup a bit before you plan on leaving. Palomino has free round trip transportation (although you should always tip) so if I'm staying significantly far away, like at Mandalay Bay, I save the wait and the $25+ cab ride by just going there and eventually getting dropped back off at my hotel.

Just walk out across to the limos. There will be someone there to help you. Don't sit around the cab line. $50 was worth every penny to make it back to MGM and not wait in that ridiculous line. Same thing when going there, cab lines suck

Maybe the guy was new or they had some complaints the night I saw it happen. He turned away at least 5 people I saw that night. Either way, decision is made, $50 works for me.

+1, go to a strip club, problem solved, free limo just tip!
Last time I was at XS the cab line was insane, like usual, so I arranged to be picked up by Crazy Horse. (staying at the Luxor so it was close). Waited no more than 15 minutes for my SUV ride to arrive, spent like an hour at CH and then took a cab back ($15 including tip) back to Luxor. Way better than waiting for like an hour in line!
