  • Is Foxtail as comparable to Marquee and XS?

I am planning for my group of 8 guys. Given that some want BS while others are on a budget, it becomes a bit hard to manage and plan to everyone's liking.

In essence, I wanted to do GA Pre-sale for day clubs for everyone (Sat, Sun, and Mon), and BS for at least Sat and Sun(XS). What would you guys recommend for Saturday night for say a group of 6-8 guys with a budget of 1500-2k for saturday?

This is what I have so far:

    Day Night
Saturday -EBM Foxtail, Tryst or Drai's
Sunday -Wet Republic XS night swim
    Monday -_________ Marquee

Thank you in advance guys (oh and these are all for this upcoming weekend, 8/8-8/11

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

No, but it still can be a great time. As someone who has actually been there, anyone writing it off immediately hasn't looked at their DJs. Stafford Brothers is a fun night regardless of venue. They were fun when they were residents at Tryst, they are just as fun at Foxtail. I've also heard Borgore puts on a good show, so I'd say check the DJs.

thanks for the input. I didn't quiet know as I have never been to Foxtail. Seems like I will go with Tryst or Hyde, don't want to take my chances, as the DJ is not my priority; instead to me the crowd and the atmosphere is more important.

Sometimes the venue makes a night and sometimes the DJ does. I'd go to XS Nightswim with DJ Pauly D DJing, and he's horrific, but it would still be fun because the venue would make it so. My point with Foxtail is there is nothing particularly night-making with the venue, but nothing bad really either. It's pretty much how I also feel about Tryst, how good of a night it is going to be there depends heavily on the DJ. If it's Manufactured Superstars, you are in for a good night at Tryst, if it's "Justin Credible" I wouldn't necessarily guarantee it*.

DJs absolutely play a large role in the crowd and atmosphere at a venue. For example EBC at Night with Jermaine Dupri is a totally different experience than with Tujamo with a completely different crowd, so don't discount the importance of a DJ. You might not care about the music, but the music definitely influences some people's decision of which club to go to and that in turn affects the atmosphere.

Hyde is on my "will not go to" list due to repeated instances of terrible line management and rude employees, something that really shouldn't be happening in Vegas, but with bottle service that's likely less of a concern.

Drai's is a stunning venue, but I've only been to their Yacht Club twice, but from everything I've heard they are a great time on a normal nightclub night, so that might make a more attractive but more expensive option.

*Justin Credible could be a great DJ, I have no experience with him, I needed someone unknown to give an example of a potentially bad DJ and if he is talented I regret using him in this manner

Wow, that was some detailed and informative info. Thank you. You are def right about the impact of the DJ. Believe it or not, I have been quoted cheaper at Drai's than Tryst for sat night. Tryst has the 595 for Grey and Moet special, but Drais I was quoted 900 for 2 grey min.

              Thank you again
