How long before visiting to contact a host

Hi Everyone,

A group of us are going to Vegas 17th-21st September, so around 6 weeks from now. Question is how, how soon should I contact a host regarding table & bottle service? It has already been announced what DJs are playing so im sure their pricing is known to reflect this. Just wondering are you better getting in contact early or leaving it late?

Hey Joe,
Honestly you will get different ranges from lots of different people here, meaning there's no right or wrong answer.
Personally I typically reach out about 1 week in advance. I know others reach out a couple weeks in advance. And I've also done the day of before, without any issues.

I usually text my hosts a few weeks out letting them know I will be coming into town. Sometimes they text back as we get closer verifying which I like.

I reach early so I can get a feel for base pricing to tell my group.
I reach out again about 12-14 days out to let them know best guess numbers
I reach out again the week im coming to verify everything still set
I reach out day before/of to coordinate times etc.

I like communication and the guys I deal with seem to as well.

This should be stickied. Exactly what I do, confirming details is what is best for both parties.

I'm kind of a over planner and usually reach out probably 30 days out initially. But then I follow the protocol listed above.

+ 1 for what Kinar said. Texting and table maps have just made this process seem less especially if your a consistent loyal customer of same hosts

I think it may also be impacted by where you are wanting to go, and what else is potentially going on there/in town at that time.
I'll be in town for Sept 11-13 and I have already booked by Saturday as its fight night. I'd figure/assume/hope it will only get busier as it gets closer, and getting a commitment early on from a reputable host ensures you're not stuck playing any games the week or day of.
