28th 29th 30th August Trip plan. Advice appreciated!

Hey guys,

Would like some advice on the following plan.

First of 5 Couples 6 Australians, 4 Americans and 2 Canadians. All married. Staying at the Cosmo.

Plan get all access pass pass for the Marquee all weekend. $100 for Men $30 for women. $715 including tax. Anyone done these? Could we get a better price when we are checking in if we tipped well?

Friday night Tao or XS Flexible. Probably get a table Budget ~$1000
Sat Day Wet Republic for Tiesto Vs EBC for Zed. Definitely want something to leave our stuff at but last time at wet we spent most of the day in the pool... Budget ~1500
Sat Night - Probably just go to Marquee on the wristband (not sure how many will still be ready to party)
Sun Day - Marquee Pool Party same deal some of the girls might want to go shopping etc.

Devil's advocate here. If you are going to spend $715 for the all access at Marquee why not just stay there and run the whole weekend? You can then allocate the $2500 across the 3 days.

I only ask because Zedd at EBC will run for a beach couch a minimum commit of $1400, if they are available and odds are they are at $2100. That only allows 6 to get walked in and that's before adding tax, auto gratuity, handshake, etc. You might be able to get Andrea's Patio for somewhere between $700-1k for Zedd and that only walks in 4 people.

I am not sure what things are costing this year at Wet but with Tiesto being there I will bet the minimums are going to be higher than what you will be budgeting for that day.

If you need to go somewhere beyond Marquee, if it was me, I would do Marquee Friday night with Audien, the take the $2500 budgeted and do a beach couch at EBC with Zedd Saturday. I am burned out from seeing Tiesto to many times and Zedd put on a great show in May when I went. I would call asap EBC and see if you could do a credit card commitment now and go after the $1400 beach couch.The beauty of the pool is it is a food and beverage minimum. The closer it gets to the date the more $$ the mins go up. If you get it for $1400 total all in is around $1900 before tipping whichever host you dealt with to set it up and tipping the busboy.

If they quote $2100, I would be using Marquee as my home base. The problem with nightclubs is you have 10 people and the rule of thumb is 1 bottle= 4 to 5 people which means you will have a 2 bottle minimum which will be $1400+ at XS. I haven't done Tao in a few years so I can't quote anything accurate there.

Thanks that is excellent information you made me re evaluate. I think I will take you advice on EBC spend the money for ZEDD and Hang out at Marquee for the rest of the weekend.
