Embarrassing newbie question

I'll be in Vegas in about three weeks and bought a presale ticket for a show at XS. Does the DJ play all night or only between certain hours? I'm very much a fan of the DJ (Zedd), but I don't exactly want to be stuck in one location all night. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to clubbing in Vegas, so any help would be appreciated.

No worries we were all newbies at some point! Headline DJ's (like Zedd) don't normally start until 1am and play til about 3am. Most people don't hop from club to club on the same night, its usually more hassle than its worth and XS is a great spot to spend a whole evening. One thing you might want to be aware of, XS pre-sales usually say that you have to be there by 1030pm to guarantee entry. I have not heard stories of people not getting in that showed up later, but I am guessing it has probably happened. There will be a warm up dj prior to Zedd, and the ones at XS are usually entertaining enough to keep the time moving along ok prior to the main attraction.

Thank you guys. I figured before Zedd got on I'd lose some money and get a warmup drink, so this helps a lot.

XS is a huge club, so you shouldn't be "bored" before his set comes on if you get there at 11. I usually show up around 11-1130 for XS with presale and we get in within 10 min or so.

XS also has tables outside near the pool so you gamble at the club. It's awesome btw

I would add that even if a DJ like this visits a club in your hometown, generally they go on between 12-1am.

Also, XS has reentry. So if you happen to be near Encore around 10:00 PM, you can easily go to XS, get stamped, and then leave and do anything else until later. Reentry is very fast and convenient. There's no line at all, you walk straight in.
