  • 12 blokes - 1 organiser = nightmare

So there are 12 men coming over on 22nd July and am looking for a club for the Friday or Saturday night. Not really that fussed on location or DJ (so not fussed on paying extra for big names even tho that would obviously be pretty awesome and not into rock or trance)

The way I see it is table/bottle service would be best as it'll pretty much guarantee entry for the group but will come at a price for a decentish table. Is Pre sales an option for 12 blokes at any decent clubs?

Not a lot of notice I know but I've had a million things to sort out so only really getting round to this.

Sooooooo........ (and I know this is all pretty vague) 12 blokes, 1 night club, Fri or Sat 24th/25th July. Bottle or G list. Any recommendations? Don't know minimum spend but would assume somewhere in the region of $2-3.5K all in. Is this realistic?

    Thanks.

This forum makes it seem like everything has to planned out 3 months in advance but realistically your group could show up and day of make plans and it wouldn't make much of a difference, you'll definitely be fine with a week of time to get things figured out.

You can't guest list with a group of all guys, so your options are a table or presale tickets. Tables are great if your group likes drinking and is mostly filled with single guys who want to impress someone. Presale is great for people looking to save some money and yet want the clubbing experience. Either one will get a group of 12 guys in fine.

For that many guys you are looking more at the upper end of your budget for a table. Presale tickets are usually $30-$40 prior to taxes and fees so think about $35-$50. The table also comes with bottles though, so that has to be considered. If you are doing presale and drinking a lot and buying drinks for girls you might have more value with a table.

You have tons of options of clubs, each with different layouts, musical styles, and price points so you might want to narrow down what is most important to your group. Do you want the club to have an outside portion, do you want a really crowded club, do you want to save money for other parts of the trip?

Thanks for the replies. I assumed pre sales may be a bit of a risk due to being a group of blokes. We're doing table service at wet republic on Friday pool party so not desperate to do it again although not ruling it out as it would be our first time of doing so at an actual nightclub.

So if we did pre sales we'd just need to be at the venue at the specified time or before and we should all be able to get in?

Edit: is bar service horrendously slow if not doing table service at the clubs?

        A.

Thanks artedm. Realise Friday is beauty contest but calvin harris was far too expensive and I struggled with the host I was using for encore so went to wet instead. Not ideal and think we may look at doing pre sales at another pool.
Also thanks for info on clubs. I'll let the gang know.
            Cheers.

You won't have a problem at all with presales. just get there by 11ish and you'll be fine. Pick 1 or 2 places to have BS and the rest presale and you'll have a great time. For bottle service, as long as you're not seeing CH, you're mins will be ok.

Can u buy pre sale tickets at a hotel few days beforehand or does this need to be done online in advance?

                    Surely "12 blokes - 1 organiser" is better than "12 blokes - 2 organisers" or "12 blokes - 0 organisers"?

All the clubs that I'm aware of only do presales online. I have seen Omnia hosts refer people to Caesar's concierge to print out the actual ticket (typically an international visitor who doesn't have web access on the phone), but they still had to purchase it online. Others can correct me if there are any clubs that presale in-person.

Arry - Im presuming youre from the UK.

Im from London and am a long time Vegas visitor and organiser. Yes its a mare. Im guessing its a stag?

In my view you're doing this backwards. Its much much more important to have real estate in a club than it is at a pool. So much more. At Wet Republic in particular I've had far better times going in General Admission (or presale) than when we've had cabanas. The layout at Wet doesnt, in my view, work if you have a Cabana.

12 guys will go through booze like its going out of fashion, im always saying this on these boards but you need to be realistic with yourselves. The initial outlay sounds insane but its not. You go into a club in Vegas on general admission and spend the night drinking at the bar you will do at least what you'd spend on a table, if not more.

So in answer to the 2.5 to 3k question - no its not realistic at all. Thats a $2k minimum (with approx 1k in tax/grat) spend which will get you 3 bottles (about $600 - $650 a bottle). You dont need me to tell you how long 3 bottles will last with 12 lads primed on a massive night out in vegas. Add women and that will last you one hour, maximum.

Get the boys to go to Wet Republic or Encore Beach on General Admission and just mingle, get drinks at the bar (its easy in pool parties) and enjoy the day. You get too pissed (which you might do if you have a massive minimum in a cabana and have to drink a lot of vodka) in 40 degree heat in the day, and you can wave goodbye to your night out.

Take the money youve saved on the cabana and add it to the 3k you are planning to spend, that'll probably give you about 5k which means a much better table, alot more booze at a better club and a proper vegas style night out.

You go with the cabana pool party thing you watch your boys drop like flies in the early evening and fall asleep. Youll lose about 30% of the lads and youll end up queuing cos you were too pissed to sort pre-sale and will stand in the GA line sobering up. You'll then get herded round the General Admission areas in the club, be squashed and youll walk away thinking it was a waste of time.

You really really should think about switching this up. 90% of the regs on here will agree that your money HAS to go towards nightclubs rather than pool parties.

Nice thoughts tomm. I agree with you and prefer to go BS at nightclubs, however many people on here will also suggest BS at pool over night because you can get food during the day and also have a place to relax.

Regardless, make sure you go to Wet and EBC, whether you get BS or presale. It's some of the best partying you'll do.

                          Thanks for the replies guys.

tomm0, it's a bday bash but pretty much same thing right. I've managed to sort something with Bobby at Tryst for one night and (to me anyway) seems a good deal. I realise it's not a tier 1 club but I've a mate who's been a lot and likes it there. He's offered a special on vodka (not sure if bad etiquette to post deals so won't for now) but we'd be able to get a fair few bottles for the minimum we're paying. I can understand what you say tho with regards to BS at pool parties and I'll be chatting to some of the guys over the weekend about it.

                          Thanks

It's perfectly fine to post the prices you've been quoted. It helps the community know where the market is at and if people are getting good deals.

The deal you got at Tryst is prob the standard deal that most people get which I believe is the 2 bottles of GG for 695.

Personally it's always about tables at night. With that large of a group I have to agree with tommO and his suggestions.

If a pool party is needed I would suggest going to EBC instead to see Tommy Trash on Friday or Zedd on Saturday.

You can pre sale either and enjoy a good party. If, and only if it is really needed, which in regards to EBC it isn't, the group wants real estate for the pool, grab a beach couch, have the 6 get walked in and the other 6 pay pre sale. Zedd is a big draw and at this point it's somewhere in the $1800- $2100+ range for a beach couch. Not sure what can be pulled for Tommy Trash but I would assume less.

EBC is a great venue to walk around and meet the women. Bars are easily accessible throughout. I'm not a fan of the Hot 100 at Wet as it seemed last summer to be a much larger ratio of guys on Friday. Any other day, pre sales is just as good and saves money.
