Multiple guest lists?

Starting to see more and more DJs offering to put people on their "Artist's Guest List". It got me wondering, are places now keeping multiple lists, and if so, do different restrictions apply (i.e. arrive by 1030), or is it really the same thing as running into a promoter that adds you to the standard guest list?

I've been seeing that "Artist Guest List" thing recently on wantickets. What exactly is it and how can you get on it? Or is it just something for the ladies only?

I have seen Life at sls- djs tweet out guestlist links for some events
and some for surrender on wantickets.

I think its just the clubs trying to get people in them

I kinda thought the same thing, trying to fill the places up, which I am fine with helping them do, especially if it means I can roll in without any restrictions. If its just a fancy way of rebranding the standard guest list, then there is really no point, I think most of us are familiar with how to get on the regular list and what ratios/arrival times are required.

I've filmed for DJ's when they've played in clubs and their list is just the same as anyone else.

Artist is just an extended list that doesn't expire. You tend to have more leeway though because no one knows just WHO you are.

I usually am on the media list and have never had to wait in a line.
