    Isn't Life closing?

Is Life closing permanently? Spoke with someone over there and they said renovations? Isn't it fairly new?

Vital Vegas said the speculation by employees is that it's closing after 4th of July weekend. I'm disappointed since I'm staying there July 24-26 and was planning on going to Life It looks like Foxtail is becoming their main club with DJs that used to frequent Life such as Stafford Brothers, but I think the venue is smaller so it makes sense that they couldn't keep Steve Angello.

SLS posted a huge Q1 loss. I don't think it will stay in its current hip LA iteration much longer.

I swear the correlation between great venue and horrible management is just off the charts. The Act, Rose. Rabbit. Lie. (club portion), and Life all closed within a year of opening even though reviews were great.

If you can't sell a lot of tables it's hard to stay open. Few times I've been to LiFE including some big holiday weekends it was sad how how many tables were sat. Same for RRL and the act

I'd say if they want people to fill up the tables at non-tier 1 clubs the minimum amount a group has to spend has to be less than $770. $550 bottles with 40% tax, fees, and gratuity is pricing a lot of people out of bothering.

It's a shame their deeper Sunday's never took off. Vegas needs a legit venue getting into that space as the edm landscape shifts. Disclosure's wild life nights have been a smash.

Well that's definitely too bad! Was at Life in February and had a really good time! Venue was decent but I have to agree, not all the tables were sat so I can imagine if they weren't getting the business how would they survive!

Really sad to hear - I loved the layout of the venue. Not surprised though, they were constantly offering me B1G1s even for headline DJs.

Sadly though, yes Life is closing its doors and moving all nightlife over to Foxtail. Sayers club is also done and being re-rented to another company. Life's current space is supposed to become a live entertainment show theater. The majority of the good restaurants have also either pulled out or are in the works of leaving SLS as well. Don't be surprised if you see new owners and a new name on the entire hotel by 2017 with a complete remodel.
It needs to be more than just Sunday's, the same lineups are getting beyond tired. Avicii, Zedd, Harris, Kaskade, Tiesto, Alesso, etc are all tired in my eyes. It's an unpopular opinion but getting bottle service at what essentially amounts to a concert isn't that great. I noticed it more than ever during my last trip to XS for Kaskade, once he came on interaction in the club just died. Everyone rushed to the dance floor And it's not like people are dancing with each other either, they're just in a crowd jumping up and down. The girls at our table even noticed that the guys seem more interested in the DJ than the females . None of those guys, except Kasakde on the occasion, play with any subtlety or nuance, it's big room banger after big room banger and there is nothing sexy or interesting about that at all. I see Omnia experimenting with Tchami, Heldens, and Guy Gerber and I genuinely hope that's the next direction in big room programming.

I feel like Old Man Simpson yelling at a cloud.

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."
