  • Club suggestions for Bachelorette July 10th & 11th?

    Hi everyone,

I'm planning a bachelorette party for my best friend and we'll be in Vegas July 10-12. Since this is her final fling before the ring and there will be 10 of us ladies ready to unleash our inner party girls for a weekend, I'm looking for advice on the best nightclubs on the strip right now. None of us are really into the club scene anymore, so I'm counting on my fellow JC forum buddies for your expertise.

We definitely plan on getting tables wherever we go, because, let's face it, 10 boozed up chicks in stilettos with no home base is a hot mess waiting to happen. And I'm not really down to hunt down the tables with the dirty old dudes and mooch off of them for free drink and a place to sit. Ewww.

I know Omnia is brand new, so I think that will be our choice for Friday night, but I don't know who the best host is to contact for that club for the best deal, or what would be the best area to have a table. I hear there's the main room which can get crazy packed (and expensive), the Heart of Omnia (aka Hip Hop room...is this really a VIP area? Can you come and go between here and the main room?), and the rooftop terrace. Since we're going in July, I worry about it being way too hot to be outside, so I'm thinking NO on the terrace, although I hear it's really pretty out there. But it also seems pretty far removed from everything else inside. Anyone been to Omnia and can share some insight?

For Saturday night, I'm open to suggestions. I will say that the bachelorette isn't a fan of XS (I know, I know, it's one of the best, but she had a bad experience there), and we've ruled out 1Oak, Hyde, the Bank, and Tryst because we've all been there so we want to try different spots. We're planning on having a bungalow or cabana at EBC that day, so Saturday night we probably won't be in the condition to go as hard as we did the night before. We're thinking a mid-level club might be better just so we don't waste our funds. So here are my questions:

    1. How's Drai's Nightclub? We've been to the Dayclub and had a blast, but what's the night scene like? Table recommendations?
    2. Thoughts on Marquee? Honestly, the thing that's stopping me from going there are the horror stories I've heard about the 500 flights of stairs you have to walk to enter and exit that place. 500 flights of stairs + 10 chicks in high heels + endless shots of booze = waking up with a hospital wristband Bradley Cooper, Hangover style.
    3. Chateau...why does it have such a bad rep?
    4. Light...yay or nay?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance for your help!

    welcome!

1st on a friday and saturday night there are about 20+ nightclubs open
    xs
    omnia (main room+ heart, terrace)
    hakkasan (main room+ ling ling)
    marquee
    light
    life
    surrender
    tryst
    drais
    tao
    1oak
    hyde
    bank
    body english
    chateau
    ghostbar
    luxor nightclub

So how do you pick- an easy way is to look at lineups- to get an idea of the event or dj. Hip hop, edm, etc. Go with what you like. For example Dillion Francis has a very different sound then Calvin Harris.
    Rough suggestion
    7/10 Chuckie Omnia
7/11 pool party Calvin Harris Wet Republic
7/11 nightclub Calvin Harris Hakkasan, Deadmau5 is at XS he very rarely does vegas shows now but he has a very different sound
Once you find what you like reach out to hosts and start getting prices.
Omnia/Hakkasan are +40% tax/tip venues so whatever you get quoted it will be +40%

Thanks! We're not too concerned about who's spinning, since most of the girls in our group don't know any of the DJ's anyway, and our preferences in music all vary. Right now this is what our itinerary tentatively looks like:

7/10: table at Omnia (still not sure if it's better to be in Main Room or Heart of Omnia...suggestions or advice anyone??)

7/11: dayclub: EBC (we want a bungalow or cabana, looking for a host that can hook us up with a good deal - we don't want to be in the middle of all the action so no water couches or lily pads for us)

7/11: nightclub: to be determined... we definitely want a table, but since we're probably using up most of our funds at Omnia and EBC, and we'll probably be half-dead anyway from all the day-drinking in the heat, we don't mind a mid-tier club. Suggestions? Thoughts?

Don't settle for a mid-tier club... you can score great deals at Drai's, Light, Ling-ling in Hakk, or maybe even a patio table at Marquee?

            Educate yourself on djs
Omnia main room vs heart totally different sound
If you don't care about dj should just drink in the room

You mentioned that the Omnia terrace may be too hot in July - not at all! I remember when it was pure nightclub and I was out on the terrace in July, it's completely awesome. There was a nice breeze, plus you'll likely be in dresses. The view was also pretty amazing. However, I hope I'm not giving you completely off base advice if they totally flipped it over since it was pure.

Second piece of advice would be to definitely not do mid-tier on Saturday, it's a huge night! and the stairs from Marquee are not that bad! haha.

Your question about Omnia rooms, just depends on the music taste you want. Main will be much busier from what I've read so far. Again I haven't personally been yet since it opened. There's some good info on the jack colton actual website if you read around too.

Friday at Omnia and Saturday EBC sound very solid, Saturday night I'd suggest Marquee or Hakkasan. It's a start, and you still have lots of time to decide. Don't settle! Even if you feel like you'll run out of steam, trust me once you're there and you feel the energy and vibe, you'll wake up.

I'm going to second what people have said regarding skipping out on a tier 1 for saturday. It's the best night to go out and the vegas adrenaline will keep you going for 1 more night.

Regarding Omnia, I'd def try to stay in the main room. That's where all the action is and if you're spending on BS, make it worth your while. You could always do the terrace, and it does have great views, however its a pretty different vibe outside and I love the vegas club energy and I don't like being removed from it.

With EBC, I think you could save some money here by going with a daybed instead of a cabana. I really like the couches that are set back from the pool but are in front of the cabanas. That way you could save some money but also still be far enough and close enough to the action at the same time.

For Sat night, you have plenty of options. Hak has some very nice tables on the mezzanine level that keep you in the main room but also not right on top of the action. Also, XS is my favorite club so I have to throw that out once for a suggestion. Maybe it's time to make some new memories for the bachelorette

I'm sure you'll have fun regardless of whatever you do.

Agreed on the "second wind" for Sat. night. Many a time my group looks at each-other with that "not another night of this" on the last night at dinner before the club. Those that man/woman up and go in always have a blast. The only risk is doing the double - day club and night club requires constant vigilance so as to avoid the afternoon nap that leads to staying in all night.

If you are undecided on Sat night your hotel location might be relevant - as in if you are at MGM, HK might be the best option.

                  A couple more thoughts:

While I haven't been to Omnia - I would do main room. The stage effects look unreal and that's part of the reason to go. If you can be in the main room, do it!

EBC cabana for 10 is around 4K on a Saturday. Now with all girls that might be cheaper but you can get better deals at EBC if you move closer to the pool.

Light is a solid option. It is club like no other in terms of visuals and I bet you can score a good deal. Will.I.Am is on the decks so it will be more open-format which might be good for a diverse musical taste group. I would also plug XS as you can probably get a good deal on an inside table with a group of 10 girls. I love that place and they always take good care of their clients.

I'm sorry for my candor, but that's some of the worst advice I have heard on these forums.

                      I agree.

                      Super pretentious and uncalled for.

Again art, YOU need to realize that not everyone coming to Vegas is strung up on DJ's as you are.

Don't be sorry, that's the current problem with Vegas nightlife right now.

a picture is worth a thousand words
last night around 1030pm at hakkasan
the first night omnia opened main room on a sunday vs nightswim.

I respect all djs/performers and always say go with what you like. But experiences are different.

Honestly its ignorant to say the DJ doesn't matter, and its ignorant to say people only go for the DJ. Therefore, you are both wrong. Move along.

I'll be there that night, as will a few others on these forums. Right now, plans are Deadmau5 @ XS. I'm traveling up with a bachelor party, and there's another table still looking for some people.

                              just a thought

ETA: And now I see that XS is a no-go for you. lol. nm.

As others have said, a group of 10 girls should be able to get a good spot/deal at a tier 1 club - Saturday will be a good time to rage. Even if you have a few casualties from the daytime, 5-6 girls should still get you into places.
