  • General Table locations (question)

    Hi all,

    First post on the forum

I was wondering where you guys usually prefer to get your tables at nightclubs. This is just a general question. Do you prefer to get one on the main dance floor? 2nd or 3rd tier? Or Balcony?

Reason I ask is most people quickly opt for the dance floor (1-tier) if the choice is given. I've tried most locations, and at some clubs (ie. Hak) I prefer the balcony. It's a little less chaotic, less mess, and you can pick who you want to bring up to your table in a more "exclusive" fashion as nobody but the invited parties can even come up the stairs.

What do you guys think? I'm going to Omnia in a few weeks and we got the Sky Box. I was wondering if that's a good option or if we should get a dance floor table. And if dance floor, do you get the ones that are a bit elevated so that you can see the action?

I forgot to say "IF $ IS NOT AN ISSUE".

Most will prefer dance floor. Regarding exclusivity, that shouldn't be a problem even on the dance floor. That's what security is for.
      2011: Palazzo | Tao | Moon

      2014: Venetian | Tao | Hak | EBC | XS

      2015: Cromwell | Drai's | Palazzo | Tryst | XS | Omnia | Nightswim

True - but some points (may sound stupid):

        1. On the dancefloor, many times you don't have a great view of the crowd/dj/etc. On the balconies you're overlooking everything
        2. The balcony washrooms are really quiet/clean. No need to bulldoze your way like on the main floor.
        3. I find that the girls that end up at your tables in the balconies are generally all there to have a blast. Very rarely have I dealt with bottle rats (This is a very minor point. I don't care about bottle rats much)
        4. It's less chaotic on the balconies. around DF tables get so crowded sometimes. even with security, sometimes crowds of people rush by the sides of your table and it's uncomfortable (some clubs are better)
        5. You can have a conversation with people on balconies without losing your voice the next day.

Dance floor, usually. Light is definitely the exception, and XS depending on how many people you have. I'm there to party, and the hook up happens on the way to or at the afterparty so I don't really care about carrying on long conversations.

Yes, you can see the dance floor from the balcony, but you lose the energy of being on the main floor. Plus, I really don't care about seeing the DJ.

With the exception of Omnia, I always prefer Tier 2 tables. I get no mins at most clubs and I still take the Tier 2s. empire55 already mentioned several of the reasons: Better view of the DJ, better view of the crowd and any show elements, less chance of disruption/being crowded from the dance floor, and easier to get in and out. I disagree about the bathrooms though - security should be taking you to the private bathrooms regardless of where you are in the club.

I don't like balcony tables, though. Just feels too removed from the action.

So at Omnia you prefer dancefloor tables? May I ask which ones you would recommend

Empire55, I have the same question. Trying to decide between the Skybox and a Tier 3 table at Omnia for Calvin Harris in June. Prices are the same.

Yea I ended up changing my skybox to a DF table. I've been in the skybox before and it's very large + overlooks everything. But I do agree with everyone that @ Omnia, you really should try and be in the mix. The vibe at the floor is incredible, and with the crazy LED chandelier and lazers and etc above your head, it's a better experience.

Both fun in their own ways I guess..
