Encore/Wynn, Cosmo, Aria, Venetian/Palazzo. There's really no such thing as a small hotel on the strip.

How about the next step below hotels. You mentioned all the popular newer hotels. But we are not opposed to spending a little less money without comprising the good pool and party atmosphere. Any suggestions?Originally posted by ccc View PostEncore/Wynn, Cosmo, Aria, Venetian/Palazzo. There's really no such thing as a small hotel on the strip.

I think the 40+ year old guys in your group who look their age (presumably that means physical shape and hairline) would be uncomfortable at Cosmo. The demo at Cosmo is 25-45 but Cosmo is in my mind a big pick up scene. If those members of your group would feel uncomfortable in that scene they might prefer somewhere more mixed. I love Cosmo but I have friends (who fit into the look their age description) that do not like Cosmo for that reason. Those guys in my group like MGM. MGM is HUGE and has a very mixed demo. There will be families, young single people, middle aged married people, pretty much everybody is represented. That took the stress off those guys in my group. MGM has a lazy river around half the pool complex that is awesome. Yes, there will be kids in it. But there will also be lots of people partying. The social scene is in the lazy river and on the pool deck along the lazy river.
Fortunately those members of my group won't be on my trip this June.

Monte Carlo and MGM. That said the bars at Cosmo usually are where the convention crowd hang out, so I wouldn't miss out on the Chandalier bar or Bond.Originally posted by pobbster74 View PostHow about the next step below hotels. Dude, I'm pushing 40 with almost no hair on my head and my six-pack is long gone..but, I don't stay anywhere BUT Cosmo. It's all about confidence. If you are comfortable with yourself, then you can fit in anywhere.Originally posted by EastCoast View PostI think the 40+ year old guys in your group who look their age (presumably that means physical shape and hairline) would be uncomfortable at Cosmo.
The Cosmopolitan is an incredibly fun and exciting place to be. A receding hairline and a beer belly shouldn't inhibit that.

Tell me more about Cromwell. It is pretty small so I can imagine the crowd is hit or miss. Looking for a good party crowd. Cromwell does look interesting though...Originally posted by maxutilsperusd View PostCromwell is relatively small, but it's usually so expensive that you might as well stay at Encore or Cosmo.
Thanks
