  • Clubs With Slightly Older Crowd

We are a few guys heading to Vegas in August and I am organizing. We are getting a little older, so can you please suggest some nightclubs and lounges that cater to an over 30 crowd or have a mixed age range. We are looking to mingle and have a good time!!! We are also planning to do table service as well. Any help would be appreciated?
    Thanks

How much over 30? Vegas clubs are packed with 30 somethings.

Sometimes I wonder what club scenes look like in other cities since this question always comes up. Unless your group, is a bunch of stiffs there isn't a club in town that you won't feel comfortable in, especially with a table.

Being 30 something is way better than being 20 something in those clubs.

We are in our 40's... Some of us look young and others well they look their age. We don't want to look like the old weird guys. Hanging out with 20 somethings is fine but would probably have better luck with 30's and above crowd. Please let me know best clubs for this.
Most recently (5 years ago) we went to Tryst (didn't like it). We usually stay at palms and hit moon and ghost bar. Those are fun but they may be a little young now.
            Please help...

45 here and age is not an issue.

There are really no clubs that go after the 30+ crowd. They focus on who is willing to spend the money. Carnival Court next to Harrah's would probably be your best bet. It's not a club, is outdoors, but has a very solid party with a wider range in age groups there which leans towards the 30+ crowd IMO.

Maybe the Gold Lounge in Aria. We had a good time there. More low key vs clubs. Crowd was more mature the night we went. Plus bottle service is cheaper.

Personally any of the lounges in Cosmo for us have been very solid for us also.

                My suggestions.

                1. Do not stay at the Palms. Do not hit Moon and Ghost Bar. 5 years ago those places were popular but now no. Those places were definitely filled with the younger demo 5 years ago and that is likely what causes you to think Vegas is mostly 20 somethings. The current top tier clubs do not have the same demo. The top tier clubs will have a wide mix of ages. I think late 20s to early 30s is the most represented age group. But there will be plenty of 30 somethings.

                2. What night did you to to Tryst and what didn't you like about it?

                3. Do you want to chat about women in the clubs or do you want to have a place to hang with the guys and drink?

                4. What is your budget for the table service night?

                  Thanks for the responses.
With Tryst maybe it was the layout of the place. We had table service near dance floor but it was uneventful. Maybe it was just an off night for us...

Definitely want women involved in our night.

In regard to budget. There are 5-7 of us going so $200-300 each would work. But not sure what the going rate is.
When we did moon table service we were outside and that was great because it separates us from the mayhem of the dance floor.

What is your favorite places? We are open to anything clubs lounges and bars.
                  Thanks again!

I think you should go to a tier 1 club. You have been to lower tier clubs in Tryst, Moon and Ghost Bar. With your budget and desire to be separate from the action you could get an outside table at XS. XS is huge and will be slam packed. I personally do not think there is a higher percentage of 30 somethings at different clubs. I think the percentage is close to the same across the board. So if you want more 30 somethings go to a bigger club. XS is awesome too - easy to move around in, great DJs, outside area is fantastic. You will definitely be in the right atmosphere with plenty of 30 somethings. The rest is up to your group (and on that note you have 4 months before your trip, plenty of time for your group members that look their age to get their act together).

I agree on XS. I'm in my early 40s and it was by far my fav place last year. Already have tix for MDW Sat and Sun night. Wide range of ages.

I also think that most kids in their 20s can't afford some of the bottle service prices that most Tier 1 night clubs and day clubs offer (at least without some assistance from mommy and daddy); there will be people in their 30s and even 50s in these places. One of the ironies of Vegas.

Great suggestions eastcoast. I was just about to suggest a outside table at XS as well. I think that would fit the bill quite nicely and they should be able to do that with their budget no problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will definitely do XS Friday night. Probably looking for a bar for Thursday night. And Saturday night maybe a lounge. Mix it up a little.
Now to find a hotel... Since everybody has been helpful. Looking for a hotel with a good pool scene also catering to 30's+. Don't want the hotel to be too big but have a good vibe with some good places to hang out in the hotel. Any suggestions?? I know I am super needy ha ha

                            Wynn or Encore
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Yea, Encore or Wynn. Half of our group (us guys) is staying at the Encore this year. Encore barely won out over Cosmo due to EBC, XS, Tryst, and Surrender all being in the same resort. But I do move to Cosmo Monday for our last night.
