Okay let's say you book a table at a club of choice got pricing down etc in advance. Then after some weeks becuase of the event/weekend your prices go up. My question is do we have any control over raised prices especially if we already made our reservation prior to the raise?

Whenever booking a table you should always be told that pricing is subject to change based on demand. If a certain area that you wanted and booked was 2k a month or two ago when you made your reservation and now that same area is 4k due to some huge event or you booked before line ups were announced. While the host will more than likely keep your minimum the same for your group, the location will be different.
Venue management fluctuate the prices so you can imagine how hosts feel when they have to break the news to their clients and possibly lose that client or multiple clients, because they themselves have no control over it. That is why unless it is a big holiday weekend it is preferable to book a week or two before your trip because pricing is accurate by then.
This sort of stuff happens but it's rare, for the most part whenever you are quoted something for a location it will likely stay that way.

I would take a more pragmatic approach - if a host quotes you 2K and then ups it to 4K, and you insist on 2K, do you think you're going to get the table you planned on originally? It sucks, but it's how it works.Originally posted by the_animal View PostOkay let's say you book a table at a club of choice got pricing down etc in advance.
