  • Early May-40 year old couple-Club??

    Hi all
Was told that the forum here might have some suggestions for me.
My wife and I will be in Vegas late april and early may. April will be a wed/thur/fri and may will be a Mon/Tue.
At least one of those nights my wife HAS to go dancing. The mon or tues would be the best for our schedule but the other days could work as well.
Looking for a club suitable for our age...40.
Music type does not really matter, we just don't want to be the only 30-40s in the club. And the biggest kicker..needs to be fairly friendly... She would typically go to a club with her girlfriends, but its just us two on this trip and I DONT DANCE!!! So hopefully some place where it will be fairly easy for her to find a partner while I drink expensive dance club alcohol and take in all the dance floor sights for a few hours.
What would best fit the above? Any help?
    Thanks

We are in our late 30's...we liked Tryst and Drai's...they are both "age friendly" and it doesn't feel like fetuses are walking around. LOL Of course I do believe it depends on the night.

Thanks for the quick response back! We aren't opposed to being around 20 somethings..we both like to think we are young for our age, but she has just found that there is a larger number of douchebags in that age that approach her lol

Gold Lounge, Voodoo Lounge and Ghostbar, while not big clubs, might be good spots to fit your needs. My experience is that most of the types you dont want to be around tend to go to the newest, biggest clubs. So places like Tryst, Tao, Bank, LAX, Hyde may also work. I am in my early 40's, so I understand the issue. But for me, I just go where I wanna because I really dont feel my age. Besides, in Vegas, if you look like you are having a good time, no one will look at you like you are out of place. At this point, I can still hang, but I DO tend to avoid the newest, biggest spots on my trips.

          My 2 Cents

I have stayed at: Mandalay Bay, Aria, Flamingo, Excalibur, Hooters, PH Towers / Elara, Monte Carlo, Venetian, Luxor, LV Hilton, Rio, Mirage, MGM, Hard Rock Hotel, Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere, Tuscany, Tropicana, and rented a 6BR house. I think thats all.

          Next trip:

Can't really call them douchebags for approaching, its a nightclub what do you expect to happen.

Oh its not that they are douchebags for approaching. both of us are fine with them approaching, otherwise she wouldn't have someone to dance with. Its the fact that they are douchbags to begin with...and their seem to be a higher percentage at clubs with a younger population

Thanks for all the club ideas...now days... tuesday would really be our best day but it looks like the few clubs that are open are industry days...is that just going to be crazy busy?

You should go to HYDE on Tuesday night. Will be crazy fun ! Chad Noyes is my go to guy at Hyde ([email protected]), but there may be other favorites here on the forum.

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."
