Getting a table last minute day of

My wife and I just planned a sort of last minute trip next weekend to meet a friend of hers from childhood that called and said he's going to be in vegas(lives in Canada). He is going to be with a group of 4-5 guys. He said they might want to do a club one night. He won't know for sure until we get there and meet up with everyone for drinks to talk about cost, host tip, tax and grat ect. for splitting a table becuase they are vegas club nubees. If they want to go for it, what are my chances of success for trying to get a table day of? Group would be 1 girl and 6 guys. Thinking about Hyde becuase of no major headlining DJ to make supply/demand such an issue.

Getting a table day of is no problem, but I would still recommend discussing price and costs beforehand and getting everything set up in advance. It's better to avoid any surprises especially with people new to nightclubs.
