  • itinerary help and newbie question

Coming in for work the last week of August and staying two nights after for pleasure: 9/4 and 9/5. (Will be traveling with the wife - both in our early forties.) Planning on either staying the two fun nights at the cosmopolitan or mirage. If I stay at cosmo planning on doing marquee day club one day with a day bed. If Mirage, then planning on doing Bare with a day bed. Any advice on one versus the other - especially considering our age?

Newbie question: If a pay say x dollars for a day bed - does that mean i get x dollars in food and drink for it or is it just to reserve the bed for the day? Also, by reserving a day bed - to I get to come and go or do I lose it once I leave? Finally - does it make sense to contact a host here versus just the hotel for a daybed. Thinking that a cabana is mucho overkill and expensive for a couple.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the board.

I can only speak reply regarding Marquee even though most follow the same scenario. The cost is a food and beverage minimum for the day. You have it until you leave the complex entirely. As long as you stay and party you will not lose your spot. The only thing you need to be aware of is if you get a bed/lily pad that is in the pool itself, no food is allowed so the minimum is drinks only.

Is a daybed something you reserve with a host on here - or is it something I should just do on the hotel website? Good to know I get some drinks out of the cost - psychologically its easier for me to blow one bigger amount....

Was looking for a big party type one day and a regular relax/recover pool day the next. Also, I've been to Vegas once before and did a club crawl which was awesome. Do you guys have any recommendations on those? Was like 50 bucks per person - free admission into like 4 clubs (10oak, pure, lax, and one other one) + plus a drink at the start and shots on the bus.

Thanks for the info. Vegas is like a whole other world lol.

I would suggest dealing with one of the hosts that are JC approved. They take care of the people here on the board.

With it being a holiday weekend and the big name dj's probably being in town prices may be a tad higher than normal. You would be better off waiting until the first week in August to hit up a host as it is all about supply and demand. Plus by then you will know who is going to be performing at the pools.
