Ghostbar - Rave of Thrones April 11th

Hi Guys,

I'm still looking for something to do on April 11th with 9 guys on a Bachelor party trip.

We're doing XS the night before, so we want to keep it a little cheaper the next day. I heard Tryst has good bottle deals but DJ Turbulence is playing, and that's not our kind of music.

We're into the trancy kind of house music. Now I found this event called 'Rave of Thrones' at Ghostbar. Apparently some dude from Game of Thrones dj-ing (I'm not a game of thrones watcher). But i looked it up on youtube and the music does sound like what we're looking for.

I just don't know about Ghostbar. I haven't heard very good reviews about this. But maybe it will be better with this special event? Do you guys have any info on this?

I also found this Ghostbar 'hosted bar' deal. Doe anyone know what this is?

I've been to Ghostbar many times over the years. Pretty much the quality of any venue is a question of "Does the venue have anything the other venues don't?" and "Does a large, good looking crowd show up?" Ghostbar has an amazing view, which is rare since most clubs are located at ground level not 50+ stories up. The problem with Ghostbar is the crowd. In the past the Palms had 4 nightlife venues, a well respected pool party and was overall a place to go for those who liked partying. Now pretty much the only people who will be at Ghostbar on a typical night are the people who are staying at the Palms and maybe some locals.

The people on this forum are very likely to recommend other plans, but I could see this being a great time even with Ghostbar being less than popular these days. Krisitan Nairn, Hodor on Game of Thrones, DJing would be something I personally wouldn't pass up because it's not something that happens every weekend. He's off the show this season, so he's taking the year DJing around the world and I've heard positive reviews of his sets. Ghostbar is also the kind of venue that everyone should visit once because it has an amazing view that really adds something to a night.

While I bet you next year you could see Calvin Harris or Tiesto in Vegas, Kristian Nairn is more likely going to be a one time thing. Ghostbar isn't the biggest venue, it doesn't have the best effects, but for 9 guys it should be one of the cheaper options and with Hodor DJing I would think Ghostbar is going to have one of the better crowds that it's going to get.

With respect to the hosted bar deal, that's just paying for an open bar, which is a fine deal for one or 2 guys, but for a group of 9 guys you are much better off doing bottle service since then you'll have a table. Although I've only used him for guest listing, Chris Hornak worked/works for the Palms clubs so he'd probably be a decent contact for table info, (702) 518-2582.

So overall I'd say it's a recommendable plan if the quote for bottle service is low enough, especially if the bachelor is a fan of the show.

Ghostbar may not be one of the top clubs in Vegas, but it is still a cool club. And the crowd should be a little large for Rave of Thrones than normal.

I'd rather go to a "lower" tier club than force myself to a "nicer" club where I won't enjoy the music, but others will say go where the girls are - not that Ghostbar won't have girls, but the bigger, newer clubs will have better crowds in that sense.

It's an interesting option, and there is no one else in town that also plays that sound so I'd go for it.
