  • Calvin Harris with no bottle service

Really want to see Calvin Harris on our upcoming visit to vegas. He just so happens to be at Hakkkasan on 5th June
Now I would love to do bottle service but as there are only two of us I think that is out of the question...
Is it really as bad as the horror stories I have heard trying to do such a thing without bottle service
    Any advice is appreciated

    Hi.

Not sure about Hakassan, i've only went to XS and "ran to the bar" a couple of times. It wasn't too bad. Just stood at/around the bar for 10 mins. Not sure which horrorstories you heard, but with 2 the bottle service is a bit insane.

I think she is referring to how insanely crowded Hak can get on its prime nights. I'm sure other forum members can chime in but on nights when the biggest names are scheduled to perform there VERY little room to move about/dance. If your going into it with this in mind and you REALLY want to see Calvin Harris live then Hak is doable but i can almost guarantee it won't be the most spacious experience you have ever had in a club.

The dancefloor at Hak is nicknamed the penis pit for a reason. Is he at Hak or Omnia that night? GA at Hak just sucks if you want to be in the main room especially on a big night.

I was at Hakkasan last year on a Saturday, where Calvin was scheduled but had to cancel last minute and Tiesto ended up playing instead (must be nice for a club to be able to just switch one Big DJ for another at last minute notice lol, but I digress). Anyway yeah there is barely any room on the dance floor so don't expect to actually be able to nicely dance other than to sway left/right with the head bounce (kinda like front row music festival stuff). Having said that we found some nice space along the side walls next to the bars, where the security let us stand, straight view of the DJ booth. So it turned out fine at least for what we were looking for.

I think a lot of women aren't crazy about Hakkasan because it's a little claustrophobic in there. I went one night (Tiesto) and stayed less than an hour. For some reason, the narrow hallways and all the different rooms were too much for my senses. My friend felt the same way.

That being said, I will be there that same weekend and would also like to see Calvin Harris, so I may or may not give it another try...

Horror stories include cramped conditions with bouncers/security constantly moving you on, very expensive drinks (more than I would expect to pay), waiting for hours to get in and then at the bar etc etc

The other option is he is at wet the following day but I don't see my self as "body beautiful" so it's not too appealing...

Do Wet the next day. Don't worry about the body beautiful thing. Trust me every shape goes to the pools. My friends and I are no abercrombie & fitch and we have a great time. It's all about the people you are hanging with.

Hi Claire- So your two girls?

I have seen calvin at hak and wet several times.
Context is important- Calvin is a huge dj, some speculate he is the highest paid dj in vegas at over $400,000 a show, dance floor tables are like $10000. Girl presale tickets are like $30 each which is pretty cheap- as an all girl group you might even get free entry on a guestlist but a guestlist might have you wait in a line. Presale usually moves fast at both hak and wet.

If you have never been to vegas before as girls you might be asked/approached to sit at someones table........

Also nightclubs open around 10pm with headline djs on around 1am and for pool parties headline djs start around 3pm.

The pool party is one big area outside- will feel different compared to an indoor club.

Drinks are expensive but its like any place you can go to a lowend dive bar and get $1 beers in vegas or high priced mixed drinks its all about where you go.

Nope I do wish it was a girly trip but I'm going with my boyfriend, both aged 25
I've seen Calvin a few times in the UK but would love to see him again
I think if I've checked correct for hak $80 plus tax and wet $50 - both of them covere the pair of us
I expect drinks to be pretty costly but hey whilst in Vegas!

I think wet would be more accommodating... if you can actually make it down to the cramped dance floor at Hak, you'll
feel stuck because knowing how hard it is to get in you wont want to leave

Honestly if you know going in it is going to be really crowded and expensive, you will be fine. If you like Calvin Harris and are not concerned about "hooking up" (which I assume as a couple you are not, but hey, its Vegas) you will be fine. Wife and I did GA not to long ago, it was uncomfortably crowded, but we still had a good time because we were expecting exactly what we got. There are places to get out of the crowd if you need a break, just don't count on making it back to your original spot.
