Thursday vs Monday

Hello everyone !

I am planning a 4 nights trip mid-june and hesitating between doing it Thursday-Monday or Friday-Tuesday.

So I wanted to know your opinion about:
- Monday night vs Thursday night: what is usually the best night for clubbing ?
- Friday vs Monday: what is the best day for pool parties ? Not necessarily a big one, as we plan to attend Kaskade at Encore on saturday and another big one on sunday

I may take into consideration the fact that it will be mid-june, one week before EDC, that we’ll be a party of 6, guys only, our second time, and that we’ll have to deal with jetlag as we arrive from Europe.

I'd probably say Thursday is a better night. But there can be some good industry deals on Monday - XS comes to mind. I'm sure you will get several different opinions on this. Lol.

Monday only really XS is happening. Thursday you have Hakkasan and Omnia soon as the big ticket clubs.

You can choose between surrender on Thursday for their night time pool party which is awesome... Monday I've been to Marquee, I thought it was pretty good and got a good deal on a table.

How is EBC at night? Is it comparable to night swim in terms if energy? Or even EBC during the day? Or is it more laid back? My group is looking into it for our trip in June.

I'd say that Monday>Thursday at the moment at night, but Friday day is much better than Monday when you only real pool party option is Bare. You can probably swing a better table deal on Thursday however.

I went last year in June and it was great party one of the best nights I've had. I've been to xs Nightswim and it had the same type of energy. They even had a foam pit at ebc. The best part was that you can get a good deal too we got like 2 bottles for like 650 from what I remember.

Well... I think Monday is more dedicated to XS/Marquee, but again, it's really event driven those nights. If you don't XS on the weekend then Monday XS is sorta Thursday has more options, so if you want to get some hip hop or something Light or Hakk for house on a cheaper night. Friday the pools are better probably if you are thinking of having more options. Monday you only have Bare really. But based on Fri vs Mon, Bare on a good day may beat anything going on a Friday and it's totally different than the big EDM pools that you are going to Sat/ Sun.

My advice, if you go out Saturday night... chill Sunday, do XS nightswim, then Bare Monday.

Too bad monday night is all about XS and Marquee. I certainly will have already done XS on sunday for major lazer nightswim or even saturday for Zedd.

Am I wrong if I think thursday night could be a great opportunity to have lower minimum at Hakkasan or Omnia than on fridays and saturdays ?

Yes, you will get a much lower min at Hakk, period vs Omnia probably. I will say that the nightswim and a normal club night are 2 different beasts. You almost have to do a night swim w Major Lazer, I'd do that over Zedd if it came down to it. Just more of unique thing you can't do as often or easily unless you come to VEgas a lot. The night swims are only Tues/Thurs/Sun right now. Hakk, Thursday then or Light (hip hop though on Thurs)

I finally took the best decision : arriving on Thursday and leaving on Tuesday, so 5 nights in Vegas instead of the 4 nights initially planned.

I know it is early, but some presales tickets are already on sale, so I am preparing the itinerary.

Dates: Thursday June 11th to Tuesday June 16th – Group of 4-7 people Guys only – Staying at MGM Signature

What I have already in mind:
Sunday night : XS nightswim – Major Lazer
Monday : Bare Pool then XS or Marquee
Friday Day will be Liquid or Marquee Day Club or Drais, I will wait for the line up
Saturday will be the big day for pool party : Kaskade at EBC or Calvin Harris at Wet Republic (depending on if we go see CH at Omnia on Friday)
Sunday: no commitment, but Zedd is at EBC

Then I have have 3 nights (Thurs – Fri – Sat) to plan and a shortlist of 5 clubs: Omnia, Light, Drais, Hakkasan and Tryst

My questions:
- Omnia: definitely want to check out one night. My first choice would be to go see Calvin Harris on Friday. What minimum is to expect for BS for 6/8 people ? If it is too high, is Omnia GA-friendly for a group of guys on a C Harris night ? Otherwise, there is possibility to see Krewella on Saturday night or to go on Thursdays with no famous DJ.
- Hakkasan: only considering it for Thursday night with bottle service as I read so many bad things about GA there. It’s W&W playing that thursday, would you recommend them? what min spend could I expect for 6/8 people ?
- Light: There will be GTA on Friday and Sultan & Ned Shepard on Saturday. Any opinion ?
- Drais and Tryst: we’d like to do at least one night at a smaller club, with no big name DJ. I reduced the list to these 2 places because all the others tier2 clubs seem to play a lot of hip hop.

Subsidiary Question:
I love EDM and fancy places but can get tired sometimes of big DJs and big clubs, because they often turn to concerts more than real clubbing nights.
Which combination of place& day of the week could be the closer to that description: EDM & Top 40 music (no hip hop), good and unknown DJ, table service affordable, great layout and (hot) girls everywhere

Cant help but wonder why you're skipping the biggest day party day Sunday? its Vegas, you rest when you're dead.
There is no comparison with a Thursday night vs a Monday, Thursday providing more choices, but to totally ignore Sunday especially since you enjoy EDM is possibly overlooking a great opportunity to have a great time.

This is an excellent question. My personal favourite timetable for Vegas is coming hot, hot, hot on a Friday evening around dinner time and leaving Tuesday at Noon-2pm. By this point, My body is ready for a coma and my Vegas itch has been scratched for another year. Good luck bud!

There is no comparison with a Thursday night vs a Monday, Thursday providing more choices, but to totally ignore Sunday especially since you enjoy EDM is possibly overlooking a great opportunity to have a great time.

The big pool party day has to be saturday because 3 of us are leaving on sunday.
And I have the experience of last year. After partying thursday, friday, saturday day & night and ending the saturday night at 7 am, sunday was tough... But the survivors will definitely go to EBC on sunday.
