ID in nightclubs

Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding ID at nightclubs. I am coming over from the UK and wanted to know if a UK driving licence (with embedded photo and date of birth) would be ok as ID when entering the clubs. I really don't fancy carrying my passport with me since I know I will end up either losing it/spilling a drink on it/ writing a girl's number in it/or all three !!!

Hi,

I can't remember for sure but i think it was enough. The documents states its a driving license and even in casino's they accept it.

UK driver's license should be fine. Definitely don't want to take your passport if you don't have to.

Bringing your passport can be risky bc of all the reasons u stated but if you have any doubts its gurenteed to work

Thanks for your answers guys - really appreciate the quick response.

As backup I might just take a photocopy of my passport as well as my DL. At least that way I still have something to spill drinks on, write numbers on, and tear - and even if I don't remember much the morning after it will serve as proof of a quality night !!

You could always call the Venue or reach out to a host ahead of time to check as well.

I would bring Drivers License and a copy of your passport.

I was in Vegas last year and went to light, hakkasan, wet and a few other smaller bars/clubs (beachers, lax, diablos) and I also played a lot of tables in a lot of different casinos from hooters to ceasers and never had one issue using my uk driving licence so you have nothing to worry about. Remember there are a lot of Brits that hit Vegas and I imagine few want to risk losing there passport so most places should recognise them

Yep, we were fine at XS, Daylight and various hotel bars with driving license

Passport enters the room safe upon check in. Next time I touch it is at check out.
Every club, casino and bar i have been to in the past 6 trips has been fine.

I've used my driving license for the past 5 trips an never had an issue with it, you'll be fine mate!
