  • Crowd of 3 coming over from Scotland

    Hi party people,

As the subject states there is a crowd of 3 (all 25 years old) hitting Vegas for 5 nights then Cancun for 5 nights from 13th March onwards. We are staying at the Mirage hotel.

So far all we have planned is Calvin Harris Friday night and Guetta on the Saturday night. Are there any must-dos or don'ts when over? We are wanting to hit a couple of pool parties. I noticed Rehab and EBC are both open. Would you recommend both? We are looking to do a VIP day or night. Which is more worthwhile - at a nightclub or at a pool party?

Great site btw - managed to get a lot of details from it. Also apologies for this post as I'm guessing you have had 1000 of similar posts

    Cheers,
    Lewis.

Personally EBC hands down when up against Rehab. Hard Rock is off the strip. I've had fun at both but Rehab had its day years ago and has been passed over by everyone on the strip.

My group usually does pre sale for the pools and tables for the club.

You said March 13th...looking at the events calendars for that weekend in Vegas Tiesto is on the calendar for Hak that Friday not Calvin.
Happily sponsoring the Las Vegas economy since July 1996

If I had to choose one day or night for BS would definitely choose club over pool. You can definitely have a great time doing GA at the pools, especially EBC.

        great plan!

        Buy your presales!
Friday Calvin Harris Omnia should be crazy opening night of new club
Saturday Guetta xs should be great

Sunday you can checkout hakkasan with Above & Beyond
        would stick to encore beach

Fyi if you have never been most nightclubs open around 10pm with headline djs on around 1am
for pool parties open around 11am with headline djs on around 3pm

For cancun- checkout ADO bus to get from the airport to the hotel zone- ado bus also runs down to playa which you might check out

Thanks for the response people. We have already purchased Calvin and Guetta tickets Would we go through hosts to get bottle service for Omnia / XS on those nights?

I've noticed Wet Republic is also open on the weekend we are there with no special DJ. EBC has TJR playing on the sunday. Would a decent idea be to do Wet Republic or Rehab Saturday and hit EBC on the Sunday? For crowd at pool party we are looking for young and fun

We have been to Cancun twice now so know the ropes for that part of the holiday

Whatever you do, do not, really do not go to Rehab. This party is a shitshow and not in a good way. The last time this party was good was 10 years ago lol. Most Europeans just know it because of the MTV show but it is so yesterday.

Presale tickets get you entry. If you do bottle service you don't need tickets. For bottle service you contact a host and get a "minimum" + tax/tip

For table service price really depends on 1. bottle prices 2. location 3. demand
Example 1 bottle say $600 + 28% to 40% tax tip depending on venue so $770-850 and that would be a really bad location.
On Sunday/Monday you can get bottle specials ex 2 for $600.

In terms of pool parties you are at the very start of pool season in march. Most of the big name dj pool parties start in April. I understand your wanting to check places out but don't expect much if no special dj.

Agreed. Skip Rehab. If pool parties were ranked 1 to 20 it might rank 19.

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Thanks for the info people. We have decided against VIP for EBC and going for GA instead. (Was coming in at $1500 minimum spend and felt this was a bit excessive between 3 people).

Can anyone suggest bars to go to before Omnia and XS on the Friday / Saturday night? Looking for places with a young party crowd with plenty of females

4 weeks today until we go

Dont work like that in Vegas mate. People tend to get to clubs at 10:30 - 11. Drinking before hand tends to go on at the hotel bars. Nothing will go off in bars

One of the most happening bars is the Chandelier bar at the Cosmo, but that's not all that close to your choice of clubs. With Caesar's Palace having been a black hole for nightlife since the demise of Pure, I don't remember if there was any bar worth visiting before the club. There are a couple of nice happening places at the Linq across the street that you might want to check out, but it's not going to be like a crazy party crowd. As to XS at Wynn, I have no clue, never pre-gamed at a bar there.

Could be what I just observe but must girls don't tend to "pre-game" at bars before the nightclubs. For the most part, girls are getting dolled up from 8-11 in their rooms while having the drinks. Most ladies out at the bars during that time are more on the mature side or vegas n00bs.

Agree the girls you will meet at the bars will not be the girls that go to the club. Unless its right around the time the clubs open at a bar near the entrance where they might be just getting a drink while waiting for their group to all be there.

Pre-gaming for XS is usually at the Parasol bar around the corner from the club, but Andrea's at Encore has a better atmosphere.
