  • XS: Zedd on 3/27 or Avicii on 3/28?

    Hey guys,

So me and a group of friends were planning a trip to Vegas for the last weekend in March for March Madness (annual thing), but we'll probably have more people coming this time. So far, it'll probably be between 6-10 people, half and half guys/girls. We got in touch with Bobby Y and did bottle service at Tryst on Thursday last time we were out which was cool, but I was planning on doing something a little crazier this time.

So, opinions? Better DJ? Better night to go? Cheaper night (if any)? I like Avicii's music better, but Zedd is fantastic too. I've never seen either DJ live though. I'm sure either night would be a blast.

    Thanks!

Both will be fine - I would decide based on who was at the other venues on those dates. That way you will end up going to 2 clubs with performers you like.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I prefer avicii's music, but i think zedd will be the better night! both are very popular, but i have a feeling avicii will be RAMMED while Zedd will be just "packed".

Both would be fun, but I would pick Avicii (prefer his music, that's the only reason). You'll have a sick time regardless.

XS will be packed regardless. I too like Avicii's music but Zedd puts on a much better show in my opinion. Like everyone said, you will have a blast no matter what night you go. Avicii was just a bit boring to me last time i saw him in vegas

Thanks a lot for the replies guys. Yeah, I think the consensus is that I can't lose either way. I'd like to see if Omnia would be open at that time too, but I can't imagine what the table minimums would be for it. We definitely don't need bottle service both Friday and Saturday, so I'll figure it out.

                Cheers!

Just curious for xs nightclub , do you get full access to the club if you purchase GA tickets? Planning to hit up xs on 04/11

Their sets sound the same to me really, not speaking on them as producers. Just popular house stuff, same crowd, both packed, probably similar pricing. I don't think it's much of a different party. You should decide what other club you want to go to on which night and hit XS on the opposite night.

So now that Marquee has released their March schedule, I'm pretty intrigued by Alesso performing there 3/28. How is he live? Is it like we all kind of said before, that we'd have a blast no matter what? Would bottle service be about the same for both Marquee and XS on that Saturday night? Who's the best host to get in contact with (ala Bobby Y with XS/Tryst) for Marquee?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm definitely getting the itch to go back and I want to have this stuff nailed down. It seems that weekend is going to have a great lineup (Zedd at XS, Armin van Buuren at Omnia, Steve Aoki at Hak 3/27, Avicii at XS, Alesso at Marquee, Tiesto at Hak 3/28). Can I lose at all? More input requested please. Probably will do bottle service only one of the two nights.

I would probably start with Noah Ortiz here on the site. I have heard good things about Cliff Orr at Marquee, but have experience working with Noah.

Would definitely recommend Zedd over Avicii - even if you like his music, he's pretty terrible live IMO.

Alesso would be cool too though.

I'd go with Zedd, no question. Having seen both live, Zedd brings a more fun crowd, and a much better set. Avicii literally just stands there and moves his hand back and forth. Zedd gets the crowd more hyped and, I think at least, plays better mixes.

Noah, can definitely get you hooked up at Marquee or Cliff Orr. Both are great guys and will take care of you. Alesso at Marquee will be great. These three are really in the same vein in terms of what they play in their sets, although Alesso is a little darker than the other two.
