How long do headline DJ's normally play?

Seeing Koma on Friday and Zedd Saturday 1/17. I've been to Vegas a ton but this will be the first vegas club experience.

What happen to the day when DJs use to play at least mini marathon sets. 2 hours must be a Vegas thing and that is what I have been noticing with my last couple trips. it usually takes at least a couple hours to get a good vibe going. It's happening around here in the NYC area as well, maybe not as short as 2 hours but I remember going out where you get at least 6 hours and on big events 12 hours plus . I know 12 hour sets are way to much in the Vegas scene, but 4 hours would be nice

Ive think in vegas, a lot of people are pretty tired and burned out by 3am. Now there definitely are people who would go tip the sun comes up, i think most are calling it quits by 3. With that said...maybe have the Headliner come on earlier to get a longer set in? when i was at XS for LDW, skrillex and diplo played from about midnight to 4am and that was awesome.

Would definitely be cool to see more Djs going for longer sets

Kaskade has played 8 hours sets advertised as 8 hour sets

Seen Steve Angello play until 7AM at XS, Afrojack until around 8AM, and seen Eric Prydz play at surrender until 6AM.

I also saw Above and Beyond play a set for an hour and a half at XS =\

Kaskade and Eric Morillo have put in marathon 12 hour sets before at Marquee and Tao. Morillo used to do it every MDW and LDW weekend for like 4 years. It all depends on the venue and the djs schedule.

I was at XS for Zedd NYE. Hed played for about 2.5 hours, but he went on around 11:45 cus of NYE which wouldnt be the case otherwise. Tiesto at Hak on that Fri night was also about 2.5 and then Carnage replaced him after with a surprise performance. Ingrosso played about 2 hrs at Life earlier in the week. Id assume 2 hrs is the norm. 1.5 seems too short.
