Getting in GA NYE?

This will be my first NYE. I understand hotels lock down sometime in the evening and you cant get in without a key.

What if you want to attend that hotels club? Are you screwed? I plan on getting inline around 8-9.

You'll be fine at that time. The problem is later on the day like after midnight. I had this issue when I wanted to go in the Encore at 3 am 2 years ago, but I paid the security guy 20 dollars to let me in I just wanted to gamble lol.

Nightclubs on NYE do not have guest lists. Everything is presale tickets. Some clubs won't even sell tickets at the door if they have sold out beforehand. You can expect prices from $100 on up and most spots and prices will increase between now and Wednesday. For example, Drai's tickets started at $150 for men and $75 for women and are now $250 for men and $150 for women.

Ticketed entry usually gets you an open bar up to midnight and a cash bar thereafter.
