Thurs Night GA - Drais or Hak?

4 guys gonna be in town for NYE and trying to decide where to go out on Thurs 1/1. Will be doing advanced GA tix. Debating between Hak and Drais. Obviously the consensus about Hak seems to be its not worth goin unless you have a table but thinking it COULD be less crowded than usual since its day after NYE and people might be tired (Tiesto playing though). Drais has Adventure Club djing but I heard the outdoor part is closed right now, anyone know if this is true? Doesnt that kinda defeat half the purpose of Drais if it is. XS still has their outdoor open I know. Thoughts?

Whats Hakkasan's floor usually like on a Thursday night this time of year? I def prefer Tiesto and obv Hak is the hotter club but everything Ive heard/read says the dance floor gets so packed you cant even move. The people Ive spoken to went on weekend nights during the summer though.

Tiesto draws the crowd and I'm thinking tons of people may stay over on the 1st so I wouldn't expect anything to change with him performing.

Yea Im also figuring a lot of people will probably just stay the weekend. Tiesto is playing Hak Thurs AND Fri that weekend though but I guess either way I just assume the usual crowdedness. If thats the case I guess to sum up my question simply - which club has a more enjoyable experience for someone buying who is buying GA tickets and doesnt have bottle service?

not sure your experience with nightclubs/ vegas
1. There are plenty of bars in vegas. If your looking for a place to have a drink, sit down, hear some music.
2. hakkasan/nightclubs generally are more of a party lasers/lights/confetti etc with no where to sit unless table.
3. all clubs crowd size vary during the night for example 10pm 12am 3am.
4. vegas clubs hold thousands of people so there are generally big crowds

If your going just for Tiesto - you could get there after 12am

Im very familiar w vegas/clubs in general. Third trip this year alone. Havent been to Hak or Drais yet but been everywhere else basically. Were already doing Life on the 30th and XS NYE and Im leaning towards Hak for the 1st, just nervous cus every review of the place on Yelp etc says with GA it gets so crowded you cant even breathe. People on yelp tend to be overly whiney though so wanted to get opinions from people on here who know whats up. I dont mind a crowded dance floor as long as its not packed to the point where youre literally stuck in 1 spot for two hours.

At Hak, you will run the risk of getting stuck. There are points in the night when the dance floor will be closed.

I hit Drais for the first time in late summer and really had a great time. To me the layout is a little better and even with the pool deck closed it still has an open feel. The effects are just as good.

That said, if you are leaning towards Hak - hit that up. Tiesto will put on a great show and either way you will have a great time.

It is a huge place- I like busy- but like anything it will calm down- meaning its not going to be a sweatbox all night
