  • March madness 2015

Me and my friends booked Vegas from Thursday 19th March to Wednesday 25th March 2015, which (apparently)coincides with the start of March Madness.

I'm an Aussie, so I know very little about this apart from it being College Basketball championship.. or something!

My question is, What will this event do to Clubs, hotels and general feel of vegas that week/weekend?

I've been to LV twice, once in Feb 2012, and in August 2011.

Spring break should be around the same time too. Makes for exciting fun.

March Madness does have a huge influence during the day, but at night in the clubs I have never really noticed anything. Sportsbooks, bars, and general getting around a hotel can be tougher because of crowds. Spring break and St. Pattys day(17th I believe) will impact nightlife though.

in regards to springbreak... if the legal drinking age in USA is 21, wouldnt most spring breakers be around 18-19?

Most people who go to vegas around march madness for spring break are usually at least 21... going to vegas without being 21 you're going to be very limited in what you can do..

Went for the first weekend of March madness this year... Clubs are pretty crowded.. sports book is guaranteed to be crowded.. also if i remember correctly the it is around when day clubs first open so a lot of people go to that...regardless it'll be a good weekend with a mixed crowd of young people there on spring break and older people there for march madness

yeh we'll be looking for tables at least one night, for sure. it's a bachelor trip, so we'll be going pretty hard. it sounds like we've picked a good date, according to Noah

March is a busy month, from March Madness and then Nascar at the end of the month. Spring break will be starting which means a lot of college kids. And pools start opening mid March. The whole month will be packed.

I liked the viewing of tournament games at the Chelsea theater at the Cosmo. Had a good time. Hope they do it again.

A really good place to find the best priced hotel rooms is -http://hotelbandit.com/

Most pools will be opening right around that time and weather is usually amazing. Low to mid 80s. Unless there is a special event that weekend, i.e. a big fight, holiday, etc. prices won't necessarily be inflated at the clubs. Your bottle service as always depends on group size, girl/guy ratio and location. It will be a very busy weekend for sure. Its good to do your club research now. Find which clubs you want to check out and start reaching out to hosts for general pricing.

I'm pretty happy i know which nightclubs we're going to, as we're big on EDM but i'm just waiting on lineup announcements at the moment.

i do have plenty of q's in regards to tipping, paying etc for bottle service

I'm with you drozzy, waiting on the DJ lineup to come out. Hoping that the weekend of the 19th will be crazy with David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Tiesto, and or someone else like them. Sucks they can't release it earlier as a confirmation.

What kind of questions do you have for the nightlife/clubbing?
