Could i get in a nightclub with my boat shoes?....like slim fit jeans and collared shirt?

    Depends on the club.

    Then it could depend on:

    How many girls you're with
    How you look in general
    If you tipped anyone
    If you have a table
    If you know anyone
    What night it is

It's better to be safer than sorry.

You could probably get in anywhere though. If someone stopped you you could probably tip them but if they are having a bad night then not much you can do except call some favors in.

One of the guys i went with wears them literally all the time, hes got in all the clubs we've ever been too including the tier ones, we did have tables but he never got so much as a second look.

They were leather boat shoes however, you may have some issues with the more casual pairs that are knocking about.

The only shoes clubs actually care about is tennis shoes.. Wear them with the right outfit and you should be good.

clubs seem to be relaxing on dress code as long as you look nice and have a collared shirt. no tennis shoes and you'll be fine.

Funny story about dress. . . We were hitting up TAO on a Friday night. We met up with a group of girls to head in and disaster ensued and one of our guys gets separated. We all go into the club figuring he is long gone. About 30 minutes later he shows up in this bright blue tacky "Vegas" collared shirt.

After getting separated he finally gets to the line and attempts to get in. . .He is wearing a tight fitting black collarless shirt. Fits with his figure and overall outfit - he looks the part, but does lack a collar. Bouncer says no-go on the entry, you need to have a collar. Our buddy asks what he can do (since we were staying at MGM) and the bouncer points to the gift shop. So he goes over and buys this $50 Vegas tourist collared shirt and sure enough that met the requirement and they let him in - no matter that he looked a whole lot worse after "getting dressed up."

It's seems that tao has always been a little stricter on the dress code...

The real question is: why would one be wearing boat shoes in the winter?

Boat shoes are fine. I have a friend who wears them all the time. You won't have a problem assuming you are dressed well completely.
